I couldn't believe my eyes - the headline read: "Postal Services Cuts Will Slow Delivery of First Class Mail."
We have watched the "government run postal service" head towards bankruptcy for years now. As a consumer, we told them what they needed to do. Some examples would be:
  • Cut Saturday delivery
  • Reduce the amount of postal buildings and cut back on the extravagant buildings
  • Eliminate the union and privatize it. The free market could fix that dinosaur in one strategic planning meeting!
They didn't listen to us and instead they are "slowing down" services to the consumer! Let me get this straight. In order to be more competitive, you SLOW down your services and increase costs to the consumer.

The Post Office has now given us a great example of why the Government should stay out of running a business. The Free Market does NOT work inside a union-run, government-owned business where the consumers' needs mean nothing. Can you imagine Government-run Healthcare?????? Santa could give them a few ideas. He can deliver presents the world over in ONE night! Speaking of Santa, he doesn't let anything stand in his way of delivering presents and getting those cookies. He is what we call a "Go-Getter" in the Free Market world. Next time you stand in that long line at the Post office, look for a Go Getter, and if you find one - give them a pat on the back and tell them to get their resumes ready - they don't belong there! Thought you might enjoy this video to share with your kids and/or grand kids. Now, this is a Go-Getter Santa!
