Washington has indeed become a swamp. That issue alone has propelled Trump into the White House and keeps Republicans in the majority in Congress

Step Up or Step Out

Two more lost elections since Trump became president and Democrats are just scratching their collective heads. South Carolina and Georgia went, again, to the Republicans in what was estimated to be close races...NOT! This, in spite of Hollywood-liberal meddling and constant, overwhelming negative news media coverage (well over 90%) of President Trump and the Republicans. Resistance and obstruction is not a message. Being concerned about transgender bathrooms is not a message. Attempting to impeach President Trump is not a message. Unproven Trump/Russian collaboration and keeping it alive for political reasons is not a message. Eliminating gender recognition, Islamophobia, giving illegal aliens driver licenses aren't issues people remotely care about.

The current Democrat leadership is as far from main stream as you can get

The current Democrat leadership is as far from main stream as you can get. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi gambled that their base wanted to continue fighting for these has-been issues...and they probably do, but, they forgot that they will only retain the loser minority minus any defectors that come to their senses. In spite of the phony polls, Trump supporters are staying put. Violence and threats of violence from the hard left without any negative reaction from establishment Democrats IS a message, a message that will not be met well. I have never seen a party that is more out of touch with the people they claim they want to represent. It has become apparent that there is a wing of the Democrat Party that will accept whatever price must be paid in order to achieve their goals. Democrats have given up the white working class vote. That is why they have fought so hard for illegal immigrant amnesty. They need to build a new party around a new breed of Americans. Certainly, new citizens that aren't hung up on things like the second amendment or capitalism. They have worked years on getting people adapted to multiculturalism so as to get them accustomed to varied cultures that are indifferent to the freedoms we have enjoyed for the last 241 years. As far as 'defending' Islam is concerned, the left is well aware that their progressive ideology has nothing in common with Islam except hate for Judeo-Christianity. Allies today, tomorrow? Who knows. But, that is a battle they are willing to fight at another time.

Democrats badly need to free themselves from the current stagnant, lifeless leadership, corrupt Clinton influence and violent rhetoric

Democrats badly need to free themselves from the current stagnant, lifeless leadership, corrupt Clinton influence and violent rhetoric. Pelosi announced on Thursday that, "I'm staying. I think I'm worth the trouble." Well, she's half right. Of course, that will make a lot of Republicans very happy. Moderates and conservatives are sick and tired of Democrats insisting on their way or the highway, even when they lose an election. They are fed up with being pushed in directions they don't want to go. They are tired of career politicians and bureaucrats using government to line their pockets and treating government as their exclusive club and personal playground at the people's expense. Washington has indeed become a swamp. That issue alone has propelled Trump into the White House and keeps Republicans in the majority in Congress. All President Trump has to do now is keep his promises, kick the butts of the establishment Republicans and get someone, somewhere in Democrat land to get out of the House or Senate swimming pool, step up and get to work rebuilding this nation. Maybe the rest will follow.
