Natural Born Citizen issue

The Constitution — take it or leave it…all of it

Those who question Obama's birth/birthplace are called Birthers in an attempt to shut them up. However, where a prospective president or vice-president is born is important and is spelled out as such in the Constitution. It is indeed important and the arguments about where Obama was born and also where McCain was born were taken as very important and continue to be so.

Now, the subject of Natural Born Citizen is also in the Constitution. While Obama is apparently happy that his surrounding adorers keep ignoring the birth question almost as much as they continue to call those who believe Obama was born is important. Those who will not give up on the subject are keeping the subject of Obama's birthplace alive — as they should be — and not allowing the issue to be shoved down a Democrat rat-hole. Again, though, the subject of Natural Born Citizen is in the Constitution and it is crucial to consider it one subject, the birthplace, should be so important that the Natural Born Citizen issue is disregarded completely. Imagine, all the Fox talking heads, all the guests on Fox, all those independents of Fox such as Mark Levin are also touting VP prospects that are not Natural Born Citizens as if the Constitution does not matter on one area but may be in another. Are we going to let the Democrats and those on the Left in general dictate to us that there is one issue that they want to avoid (the birthplace) but the fact that Obama is NOT a Natural Born Citizen? This should have made him ineligible from the day his name came up for the candidacy in 2008 but, however, it has been consistently avoided and ignored. However, as we look at the Bible, the Constitution should not have "good" areas and "bad" areas but, instead, the whole document is what makes it what it is and we should look at it in its entirety and not isolate one section and ignore another. What complicates the problem is that the Media is breathing down the throats of Viewing America and this is akin to propagandizing if it is not in actuality. Especially so when it is done non-stop, sometimes day-after-day. For those who battle with the concept of the Constitution's details, keeping it alive is as if they are keeping the Constitution alive. To let these and other Constitution-related issues go to rest, totally ignored, is only a step away from allowing the Constitution to die a slow death. Consider the foregoing and also consider that it behooves We the People to keep the Constitution uppermost in our minds as the kingpin, cornerstone and the greatest landmark of our unique American Society. It is only one step away for our pledge allegiance to the American flag as a mark of setting the ultimate importance to our beings as Americans. This not a small thing and we need to encourage each other to continue to raise as our social standard, second to none. Bob Lunsford
