The “Dream Act”... a Dream for Some…a Nightmare for Most!

Sadly, in our country today, in order to speak out against the left's agenda you first have to emphasize you're not racist, which I'm not, and I believe most all Americans aren't, though we're accused of it almost daily.

Our country has been inundated with talk of racism for years, "reverse racism," towards "white, conservative" America mainly, and has been brought even further to the forefront by our current administration. Yet, they even use these same tactics against members of the left themselves, if you disagree with their policies. I'm sure you've all seen these videos but look and listen once more...they simply enforce my feelings on this subject. First we see our Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chief Diversity Officer, Mark Lloyd speaking on the "redistribution" of power. We can't forget our current Presidents church of choice for 17 years, and its pastor, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr's. hateful, race inspired rhetoric. But if you haven't already figured it out, it doesn't matter what you say or do, the left is not going to let the topic of race be deterred in regards to their using this accusation towards anyone, racist, or not. This being said, let's turn our attention to the Dream Act. I'd like to ask one quick question to start this off. Is it the influx of illegal aliens and outpouring of immigrants worldwide that are rushing to enter the United States? For example, Canada is our northern neighbor, how many Canadians illegally immigrate or attempt to immigrate into the US illegally each year? I'd venture to bet not many. I'd like to see the numbers of the Swedes, Germans, Italians, French, English, Poles, etc., that attempt illegal entry here as well. I'll go out on a limb here and state probably few. Most of these people are required by law to enter this country by legal means. I personally spoke with one English lady who told me it was right at a 5 year procedure. She even had to show she was going to own a business, a sub shop, prior to her application being approved. Yet the influx of illegal Latino immigrants into the US daily is virtually unending, and without being a racist, aren't they considered by our administration as "people of color?" Is this merely an oversight in the attempted legislation of the Dream Act, or just a coincidence? Hmmm.... I and most other Americans advocate immigration, but not illegal immigration! See the Canada Free Press article. By turning our heads to our problem of illegal immigration from our southern border, the citizens of our country are put at a great risk... through heavily armed drug or human smugglers, which includes members of Hamas or other terrorist groups, right down to the closing of an area that stretches 80 miles along the Arizona-Mexican border and includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. It was closed in 2006 "due to human safety concerns." "It is literally out of control," says Pinal Co. Sheriff Paul Babeu. Despite the danger American citizens face, just take a look at the events taking place in Mexico proper, our administration, Democrat as well as Republican, continue to turn a blind eye. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano declares the US-Mexico border "As secure as it has ever been." In one outrageous report, Sen. Jon Kyl (Rep. AZ), describes a one on one meeting with President Obama in which Kyl asked our President about the administration's plans for the southern border. Per Kyl, the President's response was, "If we secure the border, then you all won't have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform." So our President considers his social (ist) policy more important than the beliefs or security of the people. Could that not be perceived, legally, as treasonous? It sure sounds as if it would be, and if it's not, it should be! The Dream Act Itself: The Dream Act, S.3827, is perceived to be legislation that will provide a pathway to citizenship for young illegal immigrants who complete two years of college or military service. The first alarm for me pertaining to this bill, is this being shoved down our throats during the so-called "lame duck session." This in itself is probably a pretty good hint that we the people aren't going to like it one bit! I feel we need to have a law enacted, or at least a stay, that no bill can be voted on during the lame duck session. By doing this, if for no other reason, than the outgoing leaders have been voted out, thus the people have clearly stated they're not happy with their agenda nor leadership ability, and will have no more legislation placed upon us by them. Senator Jeff Sessions (Rep.-Ala.) is heading up the opposition to this Dream Act bill, and has released a text of "Ten Things You Need To Know About S.3827, The DREAM Act." This is a must read...it is yet one more example of our politician's blatant, and out and out, lying to us, the American people. A couple of points in this legislation are as follows: Proponents of the Dream Act claim the bill is directed at illegal alien children, while in fact the legislation states that illegal aliens only need to be under the age of 35 on the date of enactment to be eligible. That's a far cry from the children they claim the bill is for, plus I wonder how many more millions of people that represents being given amnesty? The bill would give college preference to Illegal's over citizens. The Dream Act provides safe harbor for any alien, including criminals, and from being removed or deported if they simply submit an application. The Dream Act does not require that an illegal alien serve in the military, such as the Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Navy, or Marines, as a condition for amnesty, it only requires enlistment in the "uniformed services," such as the Public Health Service for 2 years. Please read the full text, it's worth the little time needed. So in reality, the Dream Act is going to be anything but a dream to the hard working, taxpaying, and law-abiding American citizens! Come illegally, and gain amnesty. Come here illegally and get access to in-state tuitions rates, federal student loans, and federal work-study programs. On top of this, come here illegally and you can put the taxpayers on the hook for all other Federal benefits and programs you will "entitled" too! The fact be dam... that by coming here illegally, you have broken our laws! Finally, how many legal American citizens are out of work as we speak, 15- 20 million? So isn't this just what we need in these tough economic times? It's a dream alright! This legislation is one more piece of the puzzle of our government's aim for social equality here in our country. The part people on the left always seem to miss is that when it comes to social equality it pertains to us, the American citizen, not our "illustrious leaders!" The wedding for Chelsea Clinton, who knows the actual cost, is supposed to have been in the two to five million dollar range. Not too shabby even on the lower end of those kind of figures! Now, how much of that type of "social justice" can I expect when my grand-daughter decides to marry? Also, back in July Chelsea's parents were looking to close, and may have by now, on an 11 million dollar, Westchester County mansion. Oh, those darn Clinton's, such shining examples of being "champions of the people," in our quest for social justice! Be prepared though, the Dream Act will be yet one more nightmare bestowed upon the American people by an out of control government, in defiance of, and possibly causing the death of a true dream. A dream lived by millions throughout our country's history, The American Dream! God Bess you all!
