The Line in the Sand is Shifting to Israel

I am very concerned for the Jewish nation as the battle lines in the sand shift closely to the Jewish Nation. Time is of a critical essence.
It would seem Vladimir Putin has backed Obama into the corner once again and has the upper hand. With the Russian military buildup taking place in Syria, Putin now has a much stronger hand in negotiating the next steps in the region. Obama now has to make some critical decisions which I think will be an attempt to secure something but not much in comparison to Putin's gains. Obama, with his failure to lead and project American strength in foreign policy matters in a range of timid decisions in Syria, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, and the eventual Iranian nuclear deal; he will now forfeit President Assad remaining in Syria at least over the short term, and likely join forces with Russia against ISIS if that is what he chooses. Obama will simply give up, as he already has on taking back Crimea – a foregone conclusion as is the eastern region of Ukraine where Russian troops are embedded. Iran is covering the Russian and Syrian southern flank, and is now apparently sending military armor to Hezbollah in Lebanon which is of great concern as the line in the sand shifts ever closer. If true, it obviously becomes a much larger solidification in a growing alliance of Russia and Shia influence over the region, but no surprise after the failed nuclear deal freeing up billions of dollars for Iran to invest in Russian arms circumventing through Iran to Lebanon. Russia, Syria, Iran and their proxies know they have a year left in the Obama regime where weakness is evident to gain much with very little resistance. Obama may choose some kind of cooperation with Russia in exchange for the loss of Ukrainian territory; he may draw some kind of new line in the sand that no one can count on, or simply let time go by with platitudes of opposition and go off into the sunset leaving the mess for the next President.

So what does Israel do with its enemy’s clear intentions to wipe the nation off the map and American support in question? What is the Pentagon thinking? I am sure the IDF is coming up with a number of plans. Nevertheless, you must sound the alarm like never before as things are going to become very complex for a rudderless America; especially while Europe is strategically sidelined and becoming occupied on another front with the refugee crisis. Furthermore, America has become enthralled with division within its borders as The Constitution weakens under pressure. A nation divided cannot stand. Thus your friend has taken their eye off Israel – the apex of the world. Can you now count on the lions of the West? It is becoming very evident that the vice from your north, south, west, and neighborhoods to the east are clamping down on the Jewish State from all sides. It is a death across the region by a thousand cuts that continues to swell in the ring. A knockout punch is nearing. Defensive measures and a counter punch must be readied. Pre-emptive action must be considered. Iran is moving forward with their plans to eliminate Israel. Russia cannot be trusted, terrorist proxies are tooling up for the next step, the loss of Iraq has left open the pathway, and Europe is now in a stranglehold. Lest I say, Israel is in trouble, hence, the world is facing trouble. In a piece I wrote, ‘The State of Israel’ found in Man of Grit, I sum up my argument for the state of Israel in the last two paragraphs below. “A sovereign Jewish homeland with a territory including all land west of the River Jordan is an undeniable right of the Jewish people. Not only is this land their undeniable homeland historically, but legally as well. It is clear now, after more than half a century that no option, except for the removal of Israel, will satisfy the desires of many Arab authorities in the disputed territories and in capitals throughout the Middle East. The Jewish people have been unreasonably persecuted throughout the world for thousands of years and require a defensible and sovereign homeland today in the modern world. Concession after concession, the Jewish people have relinquished more and more limited precious land in the hopes of peace and prosperity. These concessions have been without reward for the Jewish people. Unfortunately, this legal right of the land is not conveyed properly to the general public and therefore this issue becomes a contentious, anti-Israel argument. After reviewing all legally binding treaties, the conditions of concessions, and the attitudes of both Jewish and Arab authorities, it is clear that until the Arab Delegations stop fighting, there will be no peace; and if Israel stops fighting, there will be no Israel as we know it.” What is the answer? where then is the road to peace? It is a simple answer after all. It is the courage to say to our enemies, there is a point beyond which they must not advance. Below are the words from a former great American, President Ronald Reagan - We Must Fight. I took the liberty of paraphrasing some verbiage surrounding the players and place. Take it to heart, my friends in Israel. “Let’s set the record straight. There is no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there is only one guaranteed way you can have peace and you can have it in the next second, surrender. Admittedly there is a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson in history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, then eventually we have to face the final demand of the ultimatum. And what then? When Vladimir Putin or Iran has told their people they know what our answer will be? They have told them that we are retreating under the pressure of war; and someday when the time comes to deliver the final ultimatum, our surrender will be voluntary because by that time we will have weakened from within spiritually, morally, and economically. Putin and Iran believe this because from our side they have heard voices pleading for peace at any price or better enslaved than dead, or as one commentator put it, he would rather live on his knees than die on his feet. And therein lies the road to war, because those voices don’t speak for the rest of us. You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should the patriots at Golan, the Jordon River, or Sinai in 67 have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard round the world? The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn’t die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well, it’s a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, there is a price we will not pay. There is a point beyond which they must not advance. Winston Churchill said that the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits not animals. And he said, There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty. You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we will sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.” Blessed be Israel, oh my soul. As the sun rises, the dawn of decision and destiny is upon her. Take heart, my friends in Israel Rich Berdan, Windsor, Canada
