Like it or not, this is what decades of Democrat liberalism has wrought. Hatred of America. Hatred of our history. Hatred of religion (except Islam). Democracy be damned...we want what we want.
Resistance, obstruction, calls for assassination of the president, name-calling at every turn - racist, sexist, Islamophobe, homophobe, xenophobe, demonization whenever possible...preach love, but hate everyone. March against 'hate' while calling any disagreement 'hate speech.' Say you are for free speech, but deny any dissenters the right to voice it. They say they are fighting 'fascism,' but use pure fascism in their tactics. Their blindness and hypocrisy are stunning.
Some Democrats are caught in a web...be moderate or even conservative in private, but go along publicly lest you endure ridicule and ostracism.
The left demands heaven on earth because they insist there is no heaven elsewhere. They feel conservatives and the 'world system' are preventing their achieving it so they are the enemy.
As a Christian, I can easily look at this in a spiritual context. To the left, liberalism is their religion. For them, there is no God but government and all things through government are achievable...changing one's gender, changing the climate, eradicating hatred and want. This is not to say that some of these desires are necessarily bad. They are just pointless in our frail world of reality. Eliminating hatred and want is not realistic. None of us are wired that way. It goes against the grain. We are all made with different desires, attitudes, personalities, ambition or the lack of it. Liberty and freedom have a price and it's called responsibility. Every one of us is where we are at this moment because of decisions we have made in the past. Liberals want to take away our freedoms in exchange for guarantees...historically, financially and humanly impossible.
I would venture to guess many on the left believe America invented slavery and that all Native Americans were living in peace and harmony before the evil white man showed up. It may be hard for some to believe but American Indians suffered the same human frailties...they had intertribal warfare, blood vengeance, retaliation for acts of violence, land disputes, even slavery. You know, all the usual human activity.
I believe there is a significant segment of the left that wants civil war. Some commentators believe we are already at the cusp. Being probably the most ill informed generation in our history, today's liberals want to tear down American ideals, culture and unity believing that America is basically evil. If the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were indeed written by white supremacists, as liberals contend, it's a short hop to consider the documents invalid. A dangerous and slippery slope.
Indoctrination since childhood from Marxist teachers and professors has done its job. They demand fairness and total equality (as long as it doesn't personally cost them anything) but are the most tribalistic generation since the Civil War, and above all are always angry.
Where we go from here is anyone's guess. The crazies have successfully taken over the Democratic Party. They will go too far and probably not see the inside of the White House for at least a generation. Democrats have badly misread the electorate and the only ones now paying attention to the Party are the wackos. This is the 'new normal.'
Stupidity yells while logic and wisdom whispers.
