The people have spoken. We want change and to be loved by the world again. We want a king and we got a king. Not that I would dare dampen the loving throng of adoring fans but has anything like this ever happened to a country before?
Going back into ancient but very real history spoken of in the Bible: The Israelis wanted to be like everyone else and they wanted a king!
"...God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 "Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do."Then God says 1st Samuel 1:18 "When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.19, But the people refused to listen to Samuel. "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. 20, then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles." 2, When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22, The LORD answered, "Listen to them and give them a king."
Also, not to interrupt the off the scale celebration, has any other leader ever talked of massive overhauls, reforms and change to inspire education, farmers, environment, jobs and roads? Gee….lets see…….Castro promised endless help and change while people yelled, “praise the Lord.” I think we know the end of that “change” story, an endless sea of inner tubes and floating structures with desperate folks wanting freedom at any cost coming to America. I do believe that Stalin and Hitler promised to rescue and change a whole bunch as well. I’m not saying that is Obama’s agenda but lets also not be stupid and forget how change indeed can be manipulated and oppress people. Its always sweet in the beginning according to our recent history in the world!
Its shocking to me that even on election day our country still has no proof Obama was even born in America. Phillip Burg has appealed to the Supreme Court since his lawsuit against Obama, accusing him of being born in Kenya, was thrown out. Why was this thrown out when the questions are reasonable and fair and the simple solution is to produce A REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE? It wasn’t rocket science to answer a simple question and show a real document.
The hoopla continues! We hear about history in the making with the first African American President.” Having a black President, I think is wonderful accept for this particular one’s world view, voting record and questionable associations. Black or not, do white, black, brown, green or blue Americans really want achievement muted if not destroyed by our Government planning on redistribution of wealth tax plans i.e. socialism?
Pressure is on for President Elect Obama. He is inheriting a struggling economy that won’t be fixed overnight or with tax increases targeted especially at those who create jobs, yet that is who he says he will target. Secondly, we are a nation at war with ongoing threats from Islamic radicals. Sean Osborn, associate director of Northeast Intelligence Network, and military analyst reminds us in his blog and at
www.homelandsecurityus.com about the continued hostilities against us:

In this statement twin strikes against the eastern U.S. and Canadian electrical grid infrastructure are discussed. Toronto and New York and all adjacent areas to encompass 50 million people are itemized by the jihadists. Then there is also a list of 15 additional or related strikes, which needs more analysis, but contains a reference to the disabling of nine nuclear power plants in New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Michigan. It's now a little over two and a half months before Inauguration Day, but the jihadists really could care less who the American president is.
What will Obama do with the ongoing threats against us? Are we going to see a Neville Chamberlain look a like contest display his approach to our enemies? Hopefully for all our sakes, not!
I wish for our black community brilliant leaders, achievers and statesmen like Lt. Col. Allen B. West who has served bravely in our military in Iraq and Afghanistan and just ran for congress, Dr. Alan Keys who ran for President as an Independent this year and was Ambassador to the U.N. under Ronald Reagan. Then there are those small black achievers like Clarence Thomas, Justice in the Supreme Court, Condileezza Rice, Secretary of State, Collin Powell former Secretary of State,great military leader and many more.
I’m not about to say President elect Obama can’t also bring pride to African Americans and all Americans, but, rescuing poor people, making them more dependent on Government for funding things with money taken from others who are working hard sends the WRONG message to black and white Americans. It limits! It patronizes! It creates victims, not victors! It steals from people yet seduces by saying its really “Robin Hood”! It redefines terms and contexts, preying upon the exhausted American vulnerability in a time of economic hardship and long-term war.
Finally, with all the celebration with the first Black man becoming President, are there any who also grieve that Mr. Family man, Obama has continuously voted for abortion, partial birth abortion, infanticide, gay marriage among other horrifying votes in his record?
Talk is nice, brilliant speeches and great clothes are smashing, color is great BUT walking the talk is better!!! I don’t care what color a politician is! I do care that someone who is our President doesn’t talk about God at all unless he supports all life, from the womb on. I care that as I work on my career and struggle through business that one day after half starving to death I can finally be rewarded financially, NOT BE FORCED TO GIVE OVER 50% OF MY MONEY TO THE GOVERNMENT SO IT CAN BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO ALREADY PAY NO TAX AND GET A TAX CREDIT IN ADDITION!
President Elect Obama, how are you going to fix our ailing economy if you kill the spirit and desire of the American businessperson? If they know that as they achieve or develop a new concept or idea that their hard earned, fought for money will be sucked into a giant redistribution machine, WHY TRY? Stay poor and collect from the Government.
Finally, we now have a new President. I have no other course but to give Obama a chance to shine. We must however, hold him and congress vividly accountable to not take away any of our freedoms, not tax us to death and not leave us open to danger. Find your voice and communicate, respectfully and aggressively with your leaders in congress and the white house. We are the branch of Government that MUST find and increase our power or watch the Fairness Doctrine shut all of us down. God bless America and God bless and guide President Elect Obama.
