Time for something different.

The political sphere's agenda should be 'all lives better' . . . but we all know it's not

"All lives better" should be the ultimate goal in the political sphere, but it's not. That goal is drowned out by political agendas, political noise, political deception and all things political! We the people have been forgotten, and are considered only a means to an end, which is political power! The political class is after nothing but the power to influence, manipulate and dictate the lives of its subjects, the people. The political system and its accompanying infrastructure no longer work for us. Indeed, we work for them. We work to pay the taxes that fund their agendas, and they keep raising those taxes on us.
So how do we break free of this new slavery? Obviously, it's not by continuing to elect the same political types and expecting a different result. The great mind Einstein called that insanity. So we must embrace some different attitudes about how we empower the people, instead of empowering more government over us. No, it's not going to be easy because this new attitude goes against all of the things the political sphere has become. It has become party labels, ideology labels, dependency programs, promises of more free stuff, name-calling, and the latest political low of trying to insult family members of candidates, and planting lies about candidates to see what will grow. The fertile ground for growing lies, distortions, deceptions and empty political promises is the proliferation of traditional media, Internet media, social media and entertainment media. Plant it somewhere, and it will grow to poison the thinking and perception of enough of us to keep us frustrated, confused and divided. Checkmate! They win! As Dr. Ben Carson so appropriately pointed out recently on the hostile TV show "The View", we need to focus on the big picture. He's right, but he could not get those hosts or their viewers to do that, because that's not what they do. Dr. Carson is among a few voices in the wilderness fighting to bring sanity to a sphere on the brink of total destruction.

This destruction is not being caused by one political party. Republicans and Democrats are both guilty. They just inflict destruction, collectively, in different ways, and makes it impossible for any one good elected official to change things. That is, unless it's a president with a true "for the people" attitude. We don't need a true conservative, true liberal, true socialist, true progressive or any other concocted label. Labels don't lead. Leaders do. We need a true representative of the people in the White House. That's the only way all lives will start to get better.
