Hint: They don't care about your healthcare in the least. • Impossible to argue otherwise • Pivot Toward Single Payer

The real reason the Clintons - and the New York Times - are suddenly trashing ObamaCare

This morning, Dan discussed a recent Bill Clinton speech in which the former President trashed Obamacare as a "crazy" system which hurts small business. In case you haven't seen the clips, seen below. So, if they're admitting what conservatives said all along - that ObamaCare is an unworkable mess - you have to ask why. Here's the answer: 1. it's impossible to argue otherwise. With exchanges collapsing all over the country, there's simply no case to be made that ObamaCare is "working." It's rapidly approaching the point of implosion, and to claim otherwise would simply generate laughter. Since Hillary's already struggling with credibility, she doesn’t want that.
So... 2. It's time to pivot toward single payer. Of course, this was the plan all along. ObamaCare was designed to fail. It was, famously, a "step on the path" to a fully government-run system. Hillary has decided it's time to move forward on the road to single-payer. Right now, Hillary is struggling among many of her formerly loyal demos. She desperately needs something that will generate excitement among young liberals. If you're a basement-dwelling socialist who's angry about the destruction of Bernie Sanders, nothing gets you pumped up like the idea that the feds could take control of every doctor in the country. This will be Hillary's last great play of the 2016 cycle. Get millennials on board by promising (or intimating) to enact the greatest federal expansion in the history of the nation. Bill is laying the groundwork, and none other than the New York Times is announcing the plan by suggesting the "ailing" ObamaCare "will have to change to survive":

...A significant number of Democrats, for whom Senator Bernie Sanders spoke in the primaries, favor a single-payer arrangement, which could take the form of Medicare for all. Donald J. Trump and Republicans in Congress would go in the direction of less government, reducing federal regulation and requirements so insurance would cost less and no-frills options could proliferate. Mr. Trump would, for example, encourage greater use of health savings accounts, allow insurance policies to be purchased across state lines and let people take tax deductions for insurance premium payments. In such divergent proposals lies an emerging truth: Mr. Obama’s signature domestic achievement will almost certainly have to change to survive. With this will come crushing taxation, less choice, diminished care, rationed access to treatment, and the kinds of oft-fatal wait times seen in Canada and the UK. But stop whining. Hillary will have the crushing power - and filthy lucre - she demands. Your health is a small price to pay.
