The Victory Thief

I recently brought to our readers' attention that the Democrats would soon be feverishly attempting to lay claim to the Troop Surge victories and the victory in Iraq in general, counting on their abject foolish following not to remember that at one point in time - actually forty five times - the Democrats were actively trying to lose the war theater in Iraq for political power. It didn't then nor does it matter now how many men in women on either side of the war front gets killed, maimed, wounded or just come up missing.

Hillary Clinton herself started claiming surge success because it fit her game plan. She told Mr Tim Russert on the Meet the Depressed show the following:

[...] SEN. CLINTON: ...The point of the surge was to quickly move the Iraqi government and Iraqi people. That is only now beginning to happen, and I believe in large measure because the Iraqi government, they watch us, they listen to us. I know very well that they follow everything that I say. And my commitment to begin withdrawing our troops in January of 2009 is a big factor, as it is with Senator Obama, Senator Edwards, those of us on the Democratic side. It is a big factor in pushing the Iraqi government to finally do what they should have been doing all along. [...]

How did she "know"? Was it her job as a U.S. Senator to be speaking with the Iraqi government? Was she being contacted by the Iraqi government or the enemy because "they listen to us", whoever "they" may be? Be that as it may, now we have Barack Hussein Obama, the less-than-a-man persona, the mystery guest now living in the renamed Marxist House finishing what Hillary started. As a veteran I am highly offended at this blatant fraud upon the American people in general and specifically upon the American Armed Forces, of which I served in this war. Obama's recent world tour resulted in him apologizing for America's successes, making reference to rescinding the Declaration of Independence, revealing his stature of AAIC - anti Americanist in Chief - and giving what freedoms we have remaining away should an international court of opinion be necessary to rule on American international issues of interest. Once the G-20 was over he flew off to Turkey, where he managed to accidentally insult their heritage after visiting the Muslim holy site "The Blue Mosque" and later states in a press conference that we are not at war with Islam but fails to make the connection that radical Islam has been at war with the USA and all other western nations since 1973. The Turks know this, they have overtly and covertly supported the U.S. military special ops teams for decades, he could have at least aknowledged their help and thanked them for the years of support. *It is amazing what the guy will say when he lacks guidance from the great plastic oracle of the mighty Teleprompter.* He then flies to Iraq and tells the troops in that they did a difficult job under other than easy circumstances but then fails to make the connection that he was against the war, that he voted against it, he ran an election in opposition to it, liberal Dems don't support it, and he then failed before leaving to inform the troops that in spite of all they had endured that they had won a VICTORY in Iraq. Not even our own congress would have gone to work every day under the circumstances in which the Iraqi politicians found themselves in. The very possibility that they would never either make it in to work or get back home at the end of the day. Our Troops made their success and their very lives possible but Obama could not and would not acknowledge that fact. If the Democrats cannot take credit for it, then pure and simple, Obama is going to be a victory thief and not admit that the surge worked, that Bush was right on Iraq and that the troops and the Iraqi people did what they set out to accomplish. What a wasted trip, he may as well have stayed home and looked for another car company to control.
