The War that Matters Most is the One That Seeks Your Soul

Imminent War screams at us from Internet headlines. Bombs dropped in Syria and Afghanistan hold the lion’s share of public attention. Tortuous guessing games keeping people awake nights pondering whether it will be Russia, China or North Korea getting ready to strike back at the West is taking peace of mind prisoner.

But the war that matters most comes from neither hype nor propaganda. It is the war as old as the human race, the ongoing war of good versus evil with the human soul being the end prize. It is not the war that the news media says is imminent about which you should worry, but the war that is already the here and the now. It is Good Friday of Easter weekend, 2017. Almost 2000 years ago, darkness descended upon the world between 12 noon and 3 p.m., while our sole Savior died on the Cross giving—not just the generation of His day—but all that came before and would come thereafter a real chance at salvation and eternity through sincere repentance. Much of the imminent war of the screaming headlines is steadily stoked by that political gamesmanship called propaganda. There is little if anything average citizens can do about it. Too many politicians patently ignore the groans of the chattering classes once they attain power through election.

How can elected politicians of the day protect civil society from blowback from outside enemies lines if they cannot put a stop to the raging war that is tearing apart a country from within? In America, voters gave the Republican three massive victories against the destructive progressive left, two mid-term victories and November’s presidential election, but even though they outnumber them by far, Republicans in office still flee in fear from the increasingly deranged lib-left. In short, voters gave the right side a much welcomed fighting chance after eight long years of smothering Marxist misery. Even (mercifully) out of office, Barack Hussein Obama, who worked to make the USA a satellite of global government, casts a long shadow on the recently rescued White House. Making America Great Again requires a kind of antiseptic house cleaning that exposes and throws out every Obama minion hidden from sight in the woodwork. In all of this, President Donald Trump is beginning to worry countless supporters by allowing an unhinged left pick off cabinet conservatives one by one. Once the Liberals he’s allowed in get a seat in the boat, the boat called America is destined to sink, the way America was sinking under the wicked Obama administration before his iconic election.
