"Democrats should be ashamed. This is a disgrace!"

Trump tweets video of Democrats demanding Comey's ouster

Pretty well speaks for itself, doesn't it? The now-developing media/left spin is that Trump's stated reason for firing Comey was defensible, but that they don't believe that was really his reason. That is one of the great political logic twists you'll ever see. Since he actually offered an excellent, almost unassailable rationale for why he did what he did, but the left must attack the action because it was Trump taking it, the only remaining tact is to somehow insist the perfectly good explanation provided is invalid because he actually had some other, sinister motive.

Democrats don't like Comey, demand Comey out. Trump fires Comey. Constitutional crisis! Watergate!

Isn't this the same thing left-wing judges are doing in struking down Trump's travel orders? Oh sure, it's legal and he has the authority to do it, but his motives are bad! And of course, this all comes down to the all-about-nothing Russia investigation. Why, Comey must have been getting close! Even though we haven't seen any evidence, Comey was about to come up with some! Comey is Archibald Cox! And all those Democrats who were demanding mere weeks ago that Comey be ousted? Never mind that. All that talk from Hillary that Comey cost her the election (even though he didn't)? Never mind that! Here's how the logic works: Democrats can demand whatever they want, but it must be understood that they are only demanding it to start a fight with Trump, and set him up for criticism when he doesn't give in to their demands. Trump isn't allowed to actually do what the Democrats are demanding. They don't want it to happen. They only want to demand it. And if Trump actually does do it, he'll be roundly criticized for it because he's not a Democrat and he must have obviously done it for some sort of nefarious reasons. So, to review: Democrats don't like Comey, demand Comey out. Trump fires Comey. Constitutional crisis! Watergate! I just wanted to make sure you're following how these things work in today's Washington D.C.
