UK NHS wants "equality enshrined in law" for transgender, but not Charlie Gard?

Disavowing God's handiwork in order to remake Mankind (irony intended), United Kingdom's National Health Service is well on its way to transplanting wombs into men so they may have the blessed experience of giving birth. The obvious question is 'why?' Especially when the NHS does everything in its power to curtail the life of an infant whose natural parents are scouring every avenue to find medical answers to his maladies. The European Court of Human Rights refused to challenge the decision to shut down the baby's life support. Is Charlie Gard not human that he has rights? Misnomers abound in our upside-down world with the NHS calling for "equality enshrined in law" to supply transgender females with wombs but staunchly deny breath to defenseless infants. With more than a million dollars raised to bring the child to the United States to undergo experimental treatment that even President Trump has encouraged, still the UK courts side with the hospital to pull the plug.
What is it about scientists that they consistently seek solutions to contrived problems while ignoring the real emergencies staring them in the face. Apparently, it is more important to change a person's biology and create something bizarre rather than help a child like Charlie Gard struggling to retain the life God gave him. It smacks of modern day alchemy... instead of changing lead into gold, the necromancers are trying to change men into childbearing women. The medieval term has been invoked deliberately. Medical scientists are always looking for some way to bring the dead to life, and in this case it is placing a viable uterus (from a dead donor, one supposes) into a man's body to normalize the abnormal. There have been successful uterine transplants to give women lacking a womb the option of having a child. But consider that their physical design was intended to carry a baby to term whereas a man's body is not. Even though a new college textbook touts the joys of a transgender male (i.e. female who believes she is male) going through pregnancy, that person was born with all the paraphernalia necessary to the task, a trans female simply is not. Just because a person fervently wishes to be something other than what God made them, it does not change their biological composition. How disturbed is our society that it encourages and even urges individuals to live out their imaginary lives as twisted reality? Where does fact end and fantasy begin? Is medical science ready to perform surgery on self-imagined mermaids and mermen, attaching some kind of aquatic animal's tail to perfect someone's perverse dream?

Before it's noted that the cross-species analogy is a bit overboard, really consider the lengths to which science is willing to bend natural law to fulfill a delusion, yet refuse to assist a family that is trying to save their child's life. The mermaid proposition flirts with disaster but assisting a disabled child is doing what medicine was intended to do--help and not harm. The Hippocratic oath translated from the era of 400 B.C. says this:
I swear by Apollo the physician, and Aesculapius, and Health, and All-heal, and all the gods and goddesses, that, according to my ability and judgment, I will keep this Oath and this stipulation--to reckon him who taught me this Art equally dear to me as my parents, to share my substance with him, and relieve his necessities if required; to look upon his offspring in the same footing as my own brothers, and to teach them this Art, if they shall wish to learn it, without fee or stipulation; and that by precept, lecture, and every other mode of instruction, I will impart a knowledge of the Art to my own sons, and those of my teachers, and to disciples bound by a stipulation and oath according to the law of medicine, but to none others. I will follow that system of regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; and in like manner I will not give to a woman a pessary to produce abortion. With purity and with holiness I will pass my life and practice my Art. I will not cut persons laboring under the stone, but will leave this to be done by men who are practitioners of this work. Into whatever houses I enter, I will go into them for the benefit of the sick, and will abstain from every voluntary act of mischief and corruption; and, further from the seduction of females or males, of freemen and slaves. Whatever, in connection with my professional practice or not, in connection with it, I see or hear, in the life of men, which ought not to be spoken of abroad, I will not divulge, as reckoning that all such should be kept secret. While I continue to keep this Oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of the art, respected by all men, in all times! But should I trespass and violate this Oath, may the reverse be my lot! (emphasis, mine)
The intervening 2500 years of accumulating knowledge of the universe stand for little if we have become so arrogant that we are ready to snuff out a precious life but willing to deconstruct God's creation according to our own druthers. Hippocrates may have worshiped gods we now recognize as mythological, but we seem to have swapped science for our artificial wisdom, better referred to as deception.
