US HIV/AIDS Rates indicate a Government/Media created epidemic

Hold on, don’t kill me yet. In this age of political correctness, there are some issues that raise the ire of many people. You can talk bad about many things and people, you can talk conspiracy theories and you can complain about taxes. You can wave your flag of ‘it is my right’ and say just about anything under that false banner. You can mock God, religion and the government. But when you speak out against HIV/ AIDS, you often cross the line in many people’s eyes. So you may love me for taking and promoting a stand that might be unpopular, or you may curse me for the same reason. But at least I am taking a stand.

In 2005, estimates from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention indicated that 40,000 people were newly diagnosed with new HIV infections. In 2006, that number increased to 56,000. What accounted for this nearly 40% increase in infections within one calendar year. With the awareness of risk behaviours being constantly brought before our awareness, how could this occur? Well, actually the rates did not actually increase. The CDC stresses that new methods of measuring newly diagnosed infections and then extrapolating their findings to the general population led to the fresh estimates. The CDC reported that the actual infection rates have not risen, but that the previous figures were based on limited data and less precise methods. ”It is important to note that the new estimate does not represent an actual increase in the annual number of new HIV infections," CDC said. "The analysis shows that new infections peaked in the mid-1980s at approximately 130,000 infections per year and reached a low of about 50,000 in the early 1990s." So, if the CDC can be believed and taken at their word, the rate of this so called epidemic has actually decreased more than 70% in new infections since the high point of the mid- 1980s. Seems like real progress, not cause for increased funding accessed through ‘increased need’due to‘epidemic statuses. Globally, there is definitely an epidemic regarding HIV/ AIDS. Estimates globally indicate some 33 million people are infected with the virus that causes AIDS and 2 million die of it each year. However, using these global numbers to promote fund raising and media awareness regarding the disease status in the US is both dishonest and manipulative. Perhaps, if the truth regarding the statistics were made public, funding and sympathy for the domestic HIV issue would dry up. So let’s take a look at the numbers regarding the domestic HIV / AIDS situation. According to the CDC report, the risk groups that have always been the risk groups are the areas in which the numbers of new infections are prevalent.

Risky sexual practices and beliefs

Dr. Kevin Fenton, the head of the CDC's AIDS branch, said "The data really confirm that there is a severe impact of this epidemic among gay and bisexual men in the United States ... as well as black men and women". More than 28,000 or 50% of the currently adjusted rate of new infections are among men who have sex with men. Close to 17,000 of the newly infected are among heterosexuals — and 15,000 of these are women. "These data are confirming what we had known before," Fenton said. "It also mirrors what we see about sexually transmitted diseases and changes in risk behaviour among men who have sex with men." A metal analysis of recent studies have shown gay and bisexual men are continuing to have unprotected, high risk sex more often than before, obviously without concern over the potential consequences. It also appears that the tendency to have multiple sexual partners is a continuing trend that needs to be addressed. Fenton also stated that the results of the analysis indicate that there is a concern regarding the spread of AIDS in prisons, a condition that he described as ‘spreading rampantly”.

Black Americans at greatest risk for new infections

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, black Americans are seven times more likely to be infected than whites. This however, is not genetically or physiologically connected. It is not like some other diseases where something in a racial genetic code is responsible for a weakness that manifests in the onset of the disease. The high rate of infection among black America is due predominantly to behavioural and psychological processes that perpetuate those choices and high risk behaviours. "The reality is that it is a wake-up call for all of us," Fenton said. "There are things that you and I can do to stop the disease — encourage others to use condoms consistently and correctly, abstain from sex." Twenty five years ago, those who preached abstinence as a means to dealing with this disease were considered religious, uptight, sexual prudes. Now, the leading expert in the CDC finally realizes what common sense dictated 2 plus decades ago. Sexual behaviour management (restriction) is a logical course of action to stem the tide of a sexually transmitted disease or infection. The CDC’s recommendation for dealing with the situation, Fenton recommends ‘the need to provide better education and testing services’. Unless the education involves a deeper emotional and psychological regimen to understand the thought processes behind such high risk behaviour, then I am not sure the new infection rates will drop more than they have to this point. Unless the education is directed at women to help them understand that sex does not equal love and that they need to protect themselves from this epidemic, then heterosexual women, men and ultimately unborn children (and that is truly tragic), remain at risk. Sadly, if the stats are correct then the bulk of the education needs to be directed toward black America, and teaching them to change their sexually permissive ways. Yet such an approach would seem to stoke the fires with charges of racism. Lastly, the CDC still promotes the party line that AIDS remains incurable and is fatal if not treated through the government sponsored (paid for) vaccine and pharmaceutical protocol. Further they demand exact compliance by the patient because the drugs stop working if patients do not take them precisely as directed. There are ways to strengthen the immune system so that the impact of this virus might be mitigated. There are ways that the power of the mind can be triggered in order to change behaviours and thought processes that, in the past, lead to the poor choices that lead to putting one at risk for this condition. That’s not rocket science, its common sense. But remember, if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always done. Randy McCreary has studied the interplay between the mind, spirit and body and its impact on both the development and reversal of disease conditions for the past 15 years. He has brought this vast information together into an effective format known as Neurotherapy. This self healing energetic psychological protocol deals with the optimization of the interplay between the Mind, Spirit and Body of the individual. Randy is also a highly sought after international speaker, author and educator on various topics within the field of health and wellness. He is renowned for his ability to powerfully impact his audiences through knowledge, humour, common sense and compassion.
