VA CRONYISM - Brentwood School Commencement Speaker, a disgraced West Point graduate who lied about his own military service

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans: As though the endless crime, corruption and cronyism at the Los Angeles VA never ceases to amaze us, check below who the guest speaker was for Brentwood Schools' recent graduation commencement. None other than Robert A. (Bob) McDonald, former secretary of the VA who was a defendant in the ACLU lawsuit that produced a Federal Judgment against McDonald / VA for misuse of federal VA property deeded exclusively for the housing and care of disabled and disadvantaged U.S. Military Veterans. Instead of honoring the Judgment and vacating the illegal occupants, McDonald, a disgraced West Point graduate who lied about his own military service, met secretly behind closed doors with wealthy and powerful attorneys Bobby Shriver and Ron Olson to vacate the Federal Judgment, of which Brentwood School was one of the nine illegal occupants.

Note below where Dr. Mike Riera, Head of Brentwood School declared: "Were it not for his (McDonald's) vision of an enhanced VA-Brentwood partnership, our longstanding relationship with the VA might not have endured." Huh? Let there be no misunderstanding, the VA's sole and absolute responsibility is to build a solidarity, cohesive and trustworthy partnership with Veterans, not wealthy non-Veteran entities. McDonald's counterfeit settlement agreement promised to end Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles by the end of 2015 and we're still the nation's capital for homeless Veterans, with Veteran homelessness increasing 57% over the past year. Bobby Shriver's daughter attends Brentwood School and several of his nieces and nephews attended Brentwood School, along with children and grandchildren of his wealthy and powerful cronies. In addition to Brentwood School illegally occupying more than 20 acres of Veterans VA land that was deeded exclusively as a National Home for disabled and destitute Veterans, on July 21, the super wealthy and private prep school will begin running massive construction trucks through the Los Angeles VA creating loud, imposing, disruptive and dangerous traffic for nearly 45 days as they begin remodeling their campus while Veterans are ostracized from their deeded land and forced to live homeless and hungry at skid row and in back alley squalor.
