VIDEO: Bill Clinton appearance becomes total chaos as Marine vets challenge Hillary Benghazi lies

If ever there was a microcosm for the tension between people willing to ignore reality support Hillary Clinton, and those determined not to give in to such delusion, this is it. The Hillary supporter will look at this and say, wait a minute, they wouldn't shut up and let Bill answer (which is exactly how Bill put it, after all). True. They wouldn't. They obviously just wanted to be heard and didn't really care what Bill had to say in response.
Then again, why would you want to hear Bill's answer? You can already guess what it's going to be. He's going to claim "every investigation" exonerated her, which of course is not true - and Trey Gowdy's investigation isn't even finished yet - but why should that stop him from making the claim? Who's going to call him out for it? Not the mainstream media. Certainly not the crowd at this event. It's easy to just portray the people challenging him as cranks uninterested in a dialogue, but they know perfectly well what the value of dialogue with a liar is. So the whole thing devolves into chaos:

Maybe this is a microcosm for the state of our entire political system, which sees people comfortable in their positions essentially telling others to shut up and stop questioning them - only to find themselves in a tough spot when some people refuse to go along. You've got a fair number of people who want to tell the complainers to shut up because they don't want to hear it either, but when you're not dealing in the truth, you're always running the risk that someone is going to stand up and say so. That's especially true if you're a Clinton. You can claim all you want that your critics' "minds have been poisoned with lies" like Bill tries to say about this guy, but do you and your wife really think you can get through four years trying to make that claim about everyone who calls you out for the things you've really done? Do you really think it's acceptable - regardless of the alternative - to deal with four more years of these people?
