International incident written all over it.

VIDEO: Whatever Nancy Pelosi meant to say here, we got this acid trip-sounding thing instead

Say, isn't one of the problems with having Donald Trump as president that he supposedly utters incomprehensible blather about things he knows nothing about? Isn't the issue that a man in such a high position of authority, speaking with such a combination of ignorance and inarticulation, could cause a huge misunderstanding or, worse, start an international incident? Just checking, because didn't Democrats make Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House at one time? And don't they continue to vote for her even now for that very position, even though they're in the minority and can't actually elect her to it? Maybe that's a good thing:

There are times when a politician's utter lack of comprehensibility is worth talking about

I am not, and never have been, interested in riding politicians about "gaffes" and so forth. That's why you've never heard me mention Obama talking about having been to 57 states. It sounded pretty stupid, but he clearly didn't mean that, and he clearly knows there are only 50 states. So it's gratuitous to jump all over his case about something like that. It's like when George H.W. Bush got confused and said it was Pearl Harbor Day on September 7. It was a pretty weird mistake, especially coming from a guy who fought in the Pacific Theater in World War II. But that's all it was. He knows Pearl Harbor Day is December 7. He just had a momentary brain fart. I've also never been much interested in playing this game to show the hypocrisy of the other side. "Why, if a Republican said this, you know damn well . . ." If it's trivial and irrelevant, leave it alone. Then again, there are times when a politician's utter lack of comprehensibility is worth talking about. Maybe a certain president is presented to us as the world's greatest orator, but does this. Or maybe a high-ranking leader in the House of Representatives does what Nancy Pelosi does in the video above.

Party that puts Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Hank "Guam Is Going To Tip Over" Johnson in positions of authority has no business shrieking about Donald Trump's articulation, let alone his basic intelligence

About which: What. The. Hell. If you can make heads or tails of what she's even trying to say, by all means let me know. A lot of people are focused on the fact that she called China "Tina" (rhymes with China, of course), but that's the most easily explainable part of this. That's just a slip of the tongue. Who can find anything in the rest of it that you could characterize as anything other than complete blather? The party that puts Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters and Hank "Guam Is Going To Tip Over" Johnson in positions of authority has no business shrieking about Donald Trump's articulation, let alone his basic intelligence.
