A lot has been said regarding the war resisters. First lets start with the facts.War resisters are nothing but deserters.They volunteered into the American Army to serve their country.When a soldier is called to duty to fight, that is his job.
They claim that the war in Iraq is an illegal war. Will if that is the case then why didn't they go and serve in Afghanistan, or is that an illegal war too.These people that join the army and then desert to Canada sure as hell want all the perks from the military, but when they are ask to go and fight, they run like cowards.They are a disgrace to their outfit, to their country and to those who have served and died.They will use any excuse there is. As my Father, (a retired Fire Fighter) used to say, "If you don't want to fight fires then don't join the Fire Dept.
