A conviction for making child pornography leads to a 15-year mandatory minimum prison term

Weiner kiddie porn charges may be coming

Judgment Day may be approaching for serial pervert former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). Federal prosecutors are now considering whether to set child-pornography charges in motion against Weiner over sexually explicit communications he allegedly had with a 15-year-old female, the Wall Street Journal reports. The investigation, which got underway months ago after the Daily Mail reported Weiner sent raunchy photos and message to the teenager, is being handled by the FBI and the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan. The former leftist congressman's laptop computer and cellphone have been seized. Weiner's legal eagles have been trying to talk prosecutors out of moving forward with a criminal case. A conviction for making child pornography leads to a 15-year mandatory minimum prison term.

Sham separation carried out for political purposes

Weiner reportedly enrolled in a 90-day sex-addiction treatment program at a Tennessee rehab center but left early. "His family wanted him to stay 90 days, but he had to leave because he ran out of money," a source told the New York Post's Page Six gossip column. Weiners' parents reportedly mortgaged their home to help pay for the treatment. Adding to his troubles, Weiner was slapped with hefty monetary fines for violating campaign finance laws. Weiner and his Islamist wife Huma Abedin are reportedly back together again after what may very well have been a sham separation carried out for political purposes during the recent election cycle. Abedin was a senior official in Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
