What you missed in my one-on-one interview this morning with Donald Trump

In case you missed it, Donald Trump was my guest during the 11 a.m. hour of The Herman Cain Show this morning. We'll have the audio posted later on today but I want you to know the high points of the discussion we had. He started by emphasizing that he received more votes during the primary season than anyone in the history of the party, and expressed that he doesn't worry about the #NeverTrump people who insist on holding out. "I just let them hold out," he said.
Regarding the choice of a running mate, he specifically mentioned Newt Gingrich, Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions and Chris Christie as people he's considering, and indicated that it's not an easy decision. But he's announcing it tomorrow at 11 a.m., so easy or hard, he knows he needs to make it soon. We also talked about Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's "apology," which he didn't really think was a serious apology, for the irresponsible statement she made about him. All we can really do, he said, is move on from it. The Supreme Court is supposed to be above that kind of rhetoric, which is why he found it so disappointing - as did all of us. Regarding Iraq, and where we go from here, Trump's instinct is about as opposite that of Obama as it could possibly be. First, he intends to knock the dickens out of ISIS - not just "lead from behind" like Obama does. And all that oil Iraq has? Let's just say that under a Trump presidency, we'll assert ourselves considerably more in getting access to it. We'll have more on this later, but I want to let you know what your presumptive Republican nominee told us as we head toward tomorrow's running mate announcement and next week's convention.
