Despite the mainstream media keeping the Obama cult alive, Americans are starting to question both Obama’s competency and motives

When Lame Ducks Attack

Cults have been traditionally studied in the context of religious movements. Thus, some of the more apologetic cult experts have refused to label the Obama Movement as a true cult, but they readily concede that the situation is “cult-like.” Lenore Skenazy refers to Obama as the Magic Man; as people feel unable to take control over their own lives, they look to the Magic Man to do it for them.

His ambiguity then is intentional allowing his fans to project their own visions and idiosyncrasies; people see what they want to see in Obama. The adoration of Obama was not an intellectual operation; it was built on a shared emotional experience. New York magazine defined Obamaism as a “kind of religion,” rooted in a deep faith in “rationality.” (Bernie Goldberg. A Slobbering Love Affair) But despite the best efforts of the mainstream media to keep the Obamanutz cult alive, at least a few Americans are starting to question both Obama’s competency and motives. While it is in our nature to look for the happy ending and believe that the good guys will ultimately prevail, dismantling a cult is a large-scale project. There will be no Perry Mason moment in which the truth is revealed about Obama, and the nation comes to its senses. Directly challenging the true believer makes him dig his heels in deeper. The one truth about cults or mass movements is that the outcome depends on the character of the leader. They often end badly. The good news is some mainstream media toadies are getting fed up with the Narcissist in Chief . All polls along with basic common sense affirm that Democrats will suffer a rout in November. We will be celebrating the first steps toward liberating ourselves from one party tyranny. We know enough about today’s Democrat party and the pathological narcissism of its leader that we should be very concerned about the lag time from election night to the swearing in of—hopefully—a large new crop of representatives in DC. Brace for impact. The party currently in power can’t be expected to take defeat well. Liberals, just like their toddler counterparts, can’t modulate their emotions. In other words, they are prone to tantrums. Unlike toddlers, whose impact on the rest of the world is minimal, rulers of the Thugocracy can’t be trusted to behave with a modicum of decorum in defeat. The time between election day and the official ousting of the vulgarians may well make today’s tumult and danger seem tame. Be prepared. Consider it excellent practice for 2012.
