Whoa: U.S. extradites Romanian hacker who hacked into Hillary's schlock bathroom e-mail server

First the FBI gave immunity to the guy who installed Hillary's schlock, homebrew e-mail server - the one so non-secure that a guy from Romania was able to easily hack into it and read Hillary's memos. Now they're bringing the Romanian guy (who goes by the name of Guccifer for some reason) over to the U.S. You don't think the FBI is doing all this just to whitewash the case, do you? I don't:
According to the 15-page federal indictment, Lazar "specialized in gaining unauthorized access to the online accounts of high-profile individuals" including Clinton ally Blumenthal, who appears to be identified as “Victim 5 … a journalist and former presidential advisor who was the true owner of an AOL account with subaccounts known to the grand jury.” The indictment went on to note that using his alias of Guccifer on Blumenthal’s account, “Lazar attempted to conceal his identity by accessing the account from a proxy server located in Russia.” In early 2013, news outlets including Russia Today and The Smoking Gun published memos from Guccifer, with excerpts of exchanges between Blumenthal and Hillary Clinton about Libya including details following the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack. In a 2015 prison interview from Romania with reporter Matei Rosca for Pando.com, Lazar told Rosca that, "I used to read [Clinton's] memos for six or seven hours ... and then do the gardening."

Guccifer (whose real name is Marcel Lazar) is not being brought to the U.S. just so the FBI can find out what he read in Hillary's e-mail, although they're certainly going to be interested in that. What they really want to, I think, is how he managed to get in and how easy it was. They may also be interested to learn about the content of some of the exchanges between Hillary and Blumenthal, especially to the extent it may demonstrate abuse of her position as Secretary of State to rake in cash for the Clinton Foundation. Another issue with Blumenthal is the fact that he did not have clearance to be looking at classified information, not to mention the fact that he'd been expressly banned by the Obama Administration from working for the State Department. If Hillary was blatantly sending Blumenthal classified information via her private server, that would also be a crime, and it may be that Guccifer would have further information on that as well. But one thing we already know - and that's only confirmed by this development - is that the FBI is taking this investigation very seriously. You don't extradite a guy from Romania if you're just trying to sweep something under the rug. You do it because he knows something and you need to know it. I don't care how much Hillary tries to pretend she's not nervous about this. She knows what she did and she knows the FBI is finding out about all of it. She's terrified. Only politics can save her now, and that assumes it's actually in the Democrat Party's interests to use politics to save her. If the evidence is as strong as it's looking like it's ging to be, I'm not entirely sure it is.
