Why Sarah Palin is Standing with Mr. Trump

There has been much said already about the consequences of the recent endorsement of Gov. Palin of Donald Trump. All of it is written through the lens of the individual’s perception and influenced by who they currently are supporting in the Republican primary. Much of it from a negative point of view claiming Gov. Palin has lost her conservative values and has sold out to the Evil Empire of Donald Trump. All of this is completely off the conservative reservation and resides in the world of panty twists, jilted lovers, and brides left at the altar. First, let us read the words of Gov. Palin herself:
“The permanent political class has been doing the bidding of their campaign donor class and that’s why you see that the borders are kept open. For them, for their cheap labor that they want to come in. That’s why they’ve been bloating budgets. It’s for crony capitalists to be able to suck off of them. It’s why we see these lousy trade deals that gut our industry for special interests elsewhere. We need someone new, who has the power, and is in the position to bust up that establishment. To make things great again. It’s part of the problem.”
Gov. Palin could not have been more blunt and to the point. How it could be put in another way that would state her case any clearer is beyond this writer. I think the “confusion” with Gov. Palin endorsing Mr. Trump is not confusion at all. It’s a matter of not willing to see the truth for what it is. For the Republican Establishment, it is the fact that Gov. Palin has been the whipping girl for when they wish to impress their liberal friends. She, in their minds, is a joke. She was nothing more than a prop to booster a waning McCain campaign. When McCain failed to win the day for the Republican Establishment, her usefulness was done and she was to just fade away into the wilds of Alaska not to be heard from again. But, to their chagrin, Gov. Palin refused to comply with her supposed betters. She became a leader in the Tea Party Movement, and that could not go without punishment. From that point forward Gov. Palin and her family were attacked relentlessly by the Washington D.C. Establishment which continues to this very day.

For Sen. Cruz supporters, they felt that Sen. Cruz had her endorsement bagged and on the dinner table. Without a doubt that was the conventional thinking of most conservatives. They feel disappointed because she would have bolstered his Tea Party Movement credentials. Now that Gov. Palin has decided to endorse Mr. Trump, they whine about how she has lost her way, left her conservative values in the closet and decided to follow the money. This of course is not the case. Gov. Palin has not changed one iota. She is supporting the man most likely to be able to change and fight for the security of this nation, begin to unravel the economic mess, all being threatened by a corrupted Established political class using Washington D.C. as their massive taxpayer piggy bank. I think Sen. Cruz wants most of these things as well. But, the problem is his recent stances on immigration and who he will have to rely on to fund his campaign. Gov. Palin sees in Mr. Trump what many of us see. Someone who will shake up the Washington D.C. Establishment which has done nothing for the people it claims to support. Most importantly, Gov. Palin has found someone willing to put their reputation on the line and refuses to just go away. She has found someone that the Washington D.C. Establishment hates just as much, if not more, than her. And that my friends is the main reason why many are supporting Mr. Trump, just like Gov. Palin is.
