Americans Start to Turn On Obama

We already know that America is a conservative, patriotic country, and that the overwhelming majority of Americans agree, on nearly every issue, with the Tea Partiers, not the corrupt Washington extremists currently running our country into the ground.

For months, those of us following the news have been beside ourselves at the astonishing disconnect between the disastrous attacks on our Constitution that have turned a common, 10-15 month recession into the greatest destruction of wealth in human history, and the perpetrators responsible for it. We've known from the beginning that these are the same people who destroyed our economy in the first place by needlessly interfering in the housing market, lowering standards, and creating a culture of unaccountable lending. We've been acutely aware of their appallingly dishonest use of the crisis their policies created misrepresent themselves as the solution, rather than the problem. But for them to take office and exponentially increase the damage by tripling the national debt with unprecedented socialist pork scams and the most crushing tax hikes in U.S. history...only to turn around and still have an enormously popular leader is a feat of insanity so staggering as to have truly required the death of journalism. But as thousands more newly unemployed victims of socialism continue snapping out of their brainwashed, Obama-worshipping hypnosis every week, the tide is changing... Rasmussen offered no explanation for the continuously growing number of voters who "strongly disapprove" of Barack Obama's handling of the presidency, a number that has now surpassed the amount "strongly approving." Gallup seems to think the shift revolves around Obama:
  • bankrupting America for what most correctly see as partisan Democrat power grabs,
  • his spineless response to the election protests in Iran,
  • and further bankrupting America to "rescue" us from high-tech, free market health care and the right to make our own lifestyle choices.
Incidentally, when it comes to health care, Americans unsurprisingly agree with conservatives on what is actually wrong with the system: far more voters think its too easy to sue a doctor and want caps on damages than those who think otherwise. Additionally, only 46% of Americans think Obama is doing a good or excellent job with the economy. 72% oppose Obama's blatantly unconstitutional intrusions into the auto industry and think the private sector alone should determine which dealerships get shut down. Only slightly more than a third--the Democrat base--think the country is headed in the right direction. Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats to handle the economy. About 40% are now finally rightly attributing the economic crisis to Obama's policies. Rasmussen also found that:
  • Just 30% say they trust Obama to handle the economic crisis.
  • 60% of voters now trust their own judgment on economic issues more than the president's.
  • Most of voters favor an across-the-board tax cut for all Americans to stimulate the economy.
  • Half of those polled agree that the economy is getting worse, and only 25% think it is getting better.
