The Termination Team:  Obama-Soros Care

The day after Barack Obama's largely passed over infomercial is the ideal time to review the George Soros funded Project on Death in America. Soros is a notorious advocate of the assisted suicide campaign. He papers over it with tripe about compassion; in reality, the project is a drive to provide palliative care rather than treatment for gravely ill patients:

"Can we afford to care for the dying properly? The number of people dying in the United States currently stands at 2.2 million annually. Increases in cancer and AIDS and the aging of the baby boomers will cause this figure to climb faster than the population . . . [But] [a]ggressive, life-prolonging interventions, which may at times go against the patient's wishes, are much more expensive than proper care for the dying." -Discoverthenetworks.org
That was George Soros in a 1994 speech. What precisely did he mean by "proper care" for the dying? The unrepentant Nazi collaborator is a euthanasia enthusiast. The same George Soros who told Steve Kroft on 60 minutes in 1992 that he had no remorse for his role in sending Jews to death camps now presents himself as the very soul of beneficence as he crusades to exterminate seriously ill patients. The stated agenda of Soros' Open Society Institute is:
"To understand and transform the culture and experience of dying and bereavement through funding initiatives in research, scholarship, the humanities, and the arts and to foster Innovations in the provision of care, public education, professional education, and public policy."
When President Obama-Soros commandeers our health care system, aided by congress, be wary of jargon like "involuntary euthanasia." We dodged a bullet with the demolition of Hillarycare, only to find ourselves facing something even more malevolent. As baby boomers age, there is no question that demand for health care services will outstrip supply. At the same time, nationalizing health care creates little incentive for talented students to endure the rigors of medical school, internships and residencies. The rationing of health care is inevitable. Mr. Compassion wants us to believe that his interest in caring for the dying was sparked by the death of his own father. Soros was irked at his father's obstinate refusal to just die already: "...unfortunately [he ]wanted to live... I was kind of disappointed in him ... I wrote him off." In Australia's Northern Territory, Soros has already managed to buy significant government influence leading to reports of patients being pressured into accepting euthanasia. Another inescapable consequence of socialized medicine will be that medical decisions will be made not by doctors and patients, but by somnolent government bureaucrats who have good insurance. Barack himself acknowledged Soros' geriatricide plan when he responded to a question from Jane Sturm whose 100 year old mother was denied a pacemaker because of her age. Sturm rejected the Soros platform and did not order her mother to lie down and die. Instead, Sturm found a doctor willing to provide the pacemaker, appreciating that Strum's mother was not in the mood to expire on command. It was a revelation to Mr. Obama that some seniors enjoy a high quality of life and can remain spry. The Narcissist in Chief, who is afflicted with a sepulchral lack of empathy replied: "I don't think that we can make judgments based on peoples' spirit," Obama said. "That would be a pretty subjective decision to be making. I think we have to have rules that say that we are going to provide good, quality care for all people. " Dr. Obama suggested that one expeditious way to curtail medical costs is to for you to forgo having surgery and take a painkiller instead. Is that really a decision you want the Pelosi- led government to make for you or your loved ones? The Termination Team will be delighted to make the opiate of the masses an actual opiate. A drugged up populace is easier to subjugate. Also noteworthy was Obama's position that he wanted the finest possible care for his own family, thus he can't seriously be expected to use Obama-Soros care himself. Nor do we expect the members of Congress, despite their manifest dispensability, to abdicate their superlative coverage to sign up with the rest of the peasants. "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan, period," Obama promised last week. Obama's record on keeping promises is well chronicled. It's amazing that some people still listen to his palaver as if it had some substance. Soros' depraved attitude toward his father's will to live was not the only catalyst for his Death Project. It was also stoked by the abject failure of Hillarycare; another odious and ill-conceived program that was fortunately derailed as soon as the public found out what it was. Soros, determined not to let that happen again, set about bankrolling the inglorious McCain-Feingold bill, a campaign finance "reform" law that nobody but Soros wanted. Using phony research polls, Soros was able to sell the hoax that the American people were desperate for campaign finance reform. The creation of 527 organizations essentially allowed George Soros to purchase the Democrat Party, albeit somewhat stealthily. David Horowitz and Richard Poe correctly refer to Soros as head of the Shadow Party, a party within the Democrat Party. The Shadow Party is now unmistakably ruling the country. Liberals have been priming us for socialized medicine for years. The left loathes drug companies with a fervor normally reserved for beauty queens and executives. Liberals never bother to point out the long and expensive process it is to get a new medicine through the FDA approval process. The sine qua non of communism is the diminution in value of individual human life. The collective is all; the state replaces God, as the state must be completely separate from any notion of a power greater than itself. This lack of value on life is prominent in the liberal pro-choice platform. Barack Obama has shown himself to be far more radical on the life issue than even such stalwart liberal loons as Barbara Boxer (D-California). Obama not only supports barbarous partial birth abortion, he would deny treatment to infants born alive following botched abortions; he is entirely comfortable with allowing an innocent baby to perish in a linen closet a few hours after birth. In a socialist society, humans become expendable; oppressed humans don't value their own lives or the lives of others the way a free population does. As we hurtle toward socialized medicine, it's worth considering that less effort will be devoted to providing treatment for the critically ill and less effort will be directed toward preventing unnatural deaths in a culture that has ceased to cherish individual life. If we fail to abort Obama-Soros care, "involuntary euthanasia" will become part of standard medical treatment.
