Alan Keyes

America is missing out on a great man

America is missing out on Alan Keyes.  Many conservatives have told me they didn't even know Keyes was running for President...he is. Keyes has announced his candidacy in September 2007.

The media and Republican party don’t hesitate to leave him out of debates or the spotlight even though he has declared he's running and has not dropped out of the race.   Iowa's caucuses were on Jan. 3rd.  Iowa's Republican Party has yet to disclose the number of votes Alan Keyes received in Iowa.   John Lund of the Des Moines, Iowa Republican Headquarters said, "We didn't have the electronic means to record the tallies for Keyes, so we can't yet report to the public how many votes Keyes got."   What an excuse! This is a VERY important election and we are already seeing major election problems.   Read more: http://www.alankeyes.com/articles/080104iowa.php   Another gaffe came on behalf of ABC, as the network left Alan Keyes and 3 other candidates (Duncan Hunter, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel) running for president out of the New Hampshire debates Saturday. These men didn't reach the appropriate "benchmarks" in terms of garnering much support, therefore they were cut.   Read more: http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/bw-elect/2008/jan/04/010405308.html   When ANY candidate is left out of a debate and ignored, it is ultimate disrespect, not only to the candidate running for office but to the voters. The people of this country deserve better than that. ALL candidates who are running for president (who don't intend on dropping out) should be acknowledged and allowed to speak before the American people.   Getting back to Alan Keyes...   Mr. Keyes is a man whom I believe best represents the American people.  When he talks about America's moral foundation, the importance of the Constitution, and this nation's prior leaders' strength and reliance on Almighty God, you know he's being truthful with you.   The top tier Republican candidates have changed their stripes while campaigning to sound more conservative.  Some of them waffle on important social issues and others are lackluster in regards to national defense.  Alan Keyes has maintained his strong stance on God and country, shows a balance in terms of how he would deal with national security issues, and is very conservative in regards to social issues.   Alan Keyes is a man conservatives have been looking for.  He served under the Reagan Administration as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs and Ambassador to the Economic and Social Council to the UN.   Reagan is quoted as saying, "I've never known a more stout-hearted defender of a strong America than Alan Keyes." Keyes has served in other US departments as well and has more remarkable accomplishments to add to his resume:   He was host of Alan Keyes is Making Sense, a commentary show on MSNBC in 2002. His show had a diverse audience tuning in, but it did not last. Before that he hosted The Alan Keyes Show: America's Wake-Up Call a syndicated radio show in Arlington, VA in 1994. I can't fail to mention his conservative activism work as he heads up Renew America and the Declaration Foundation online.   On a lighter note, Keyes was featured in Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat movie. Ah yes, I wonder if I have grabbed the attention of a few more people with that one. Keyes also has been known to jump into a mosh pit of young folk who were jamming to the music of Rage Against the Machine back in 2000 during the primaries.    It appears Keyes also has a light-hearted side, not always stern and opposing. He is a Republican candidate, however who will not waver from his conservative views.   Another interesting fact is that Keyes was a military brat...something we share in common.  And as he has served under Reagan, a president known for strengthening the military, I know that Alan Keyes will hold the military to high regard and fully back our men and women in the US Armed Forces.   When you see a candidate with determination and grit to tough it out (regardless of trailing the frontrunners)and continue on the path toward helping America, you know you have a great leader. Keyes could easily bow out and say that he doesn't have the support necessary to continue with his campaign for president. But he's not.   Keyes is genuinely concerned about the state of America as it exists today and needs your help and attention.  On Alan Keyes' website RenewAmerica.us, there is a pledge for America's Revival...or rather America's comeback from the darkness and mire we've been bogged down in.   I ask that the American public doesn't count him out as they consider their next choice for America's president.    Alan Keyes, he's the ultimate underdog.   *To support Alan Keyes for America's Revival, sign the pledge here: http://www.alankeyes.com/pledge.php ;
