Liberals will tell you they believe in free speech but have justified silencing conservatives by calling it hate speech. Once you can degrade a group or their speech to being hateful, then its easy to justify to the party faithful, that it is entirely justified to silence such people or talk. Not only is this logic scary but it's dangerous to the very freedom on which our country was founded.

Ongoing attempts have been made to silence talk radio. Rush Limbaugh, Sara Palin among others has been attacked as hateful and now the left is attempting to intimidate advertisers of the Glenn Beck show into stopping their advertising. This left wing campaign is being orchestrated by a group started by Obama’s Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones. Strangely this attack occurred after Glen Beck aired several segments on his show that were very critical of both the Obama administration and Van Jones in particular. So what does this group point to as so horrible that these companies should not advertise during his show? During an interview on the July 28 show of "Fox & Friends" Beck criticized President Barack Obama's comments on the racially-charged Cambridge, Mass. incident in which a local policeman arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. After the left-wing drew attention to Beck's analysis, the activist group "Color of Change" wants viewers to boycott Beck's sponsors. Listen to Beck's interview and see if it's so hate filled he should be boycotted or is he just voicing his right of free speech that is protected by our First Amendment. Van Jones was appointed by President Obama to be the the green jobs czar which will create a job-generating climate policy while ensuring equal opportunity. Van Jones is a self avowed communist that was a founding member of the radical grievance group "Color of Change," which has a Weather Underground member as a top director. In a 2005 interview with East Bay Express he stated that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class justice. The group's co-founder James Rucker, is a former MoveOn.org organizer. He is also a former community organizer who has worked hand in hand with ACORN. Jeff Poor's article "'Glenn Beck' Sponsors Attacked by Left, Pull Ads from Fox News Show" states how Color of Change is now trying to hide their history with Van Jones.
"The group deleted references to Jones on its 'about' page," Vadum wrote. "That page used to say, 'James Rucker and Van Jones came together in the wake of [Hurricane] Katrina to use the organizing power of the Internet to give Black Americans and our allies a renewed and strengthened political voice.' But now it doesn't." Vadum found that the old page still existed in the Google cache, and created a PDF of the page.) He also procured copies of the 501(c)(4) group's 2006 and 2007 tax returns (IRS Form 990), which showed the president's green jobs czar as a director.
