Could it be that Barack Obama is a straw man?

Who’s in charge?

It seems that a lot of conservative and then some not so conservative pundits are wondering out loud “who’s in charge of the Obama administration?” It’s obviously not Barack Obama, given that the Congress is running circles around the Executive Branch with legislation so radical that most of it will have little or no chance of passing.

Even members of the President’s cabinet are refusing to toe the line i.e. Attorney General Eric Holder, who has just announced that he will be re-re-investigating members of the CIA with a view toward punishing those who appear to have crossed the line in the enhanced interrogation department. This decision was announced after the President insisted there would be no further investigations. Could it be that Barack Obama is a straw man? If I were given to rampant paranoia, I would wonder whether or not there is a powerful puppet master pulling the president’s strings. The one name that immediately comes to mind is George Soros, the Democrats’ far left billionaire partisan. President Obama just “loaned” $2 billion of taxpayers’ money to Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company, of which Soros is a major shareholder. The purpose of the cash is to finance off-shore oil exploration in the Atlantic Ocean, near Rio de Janeiro, with a possibility of that “loan” eventually climbing to $10 billion. It’s not like George Soros needs American taxpayers’ money, as he appears to have quite enough of his own to finance such a venture. So what would prompt the president to approve loans for Brazil to do exactly what no American oil company is allowed to do in the US? Then there is the issue of the President’s advisors, or czars, as they are sometimes called. Here’s a neat way for the string pullers to by-pass and co-opt the governmental checks and balances by placing into the hands of various “experts” the ability to impose regulations ranging from environmental policies to economic policies to communications policies, among others. Currently there are some 42 such czars and counting. These include some interesting people, such as Cass Sunstein, an animal rights activist who wishes to extend constitutional rights to livestock and pets. If Sunstein gets his way, then it’s conceivable that fido can sue his owner in a court of law. John Holdren has been appointed science czar and believes that forced abortions and mass sterilization is needed to save the earth from global warming. Van Jones is now the special advisor for green jobs in addition to being a self-described Marxist, who believes in violent revolution. Mark Lloyd is the new FCC Diversity Czar and he believes that Hugo Chavez’s revolution in Venezuela is “awesome” and lauds the dictator for taking control of that country’s media. In fact, he would like to replicate Chavez’s media policy in the United States. One gets the impression that the people with whom Barack Obama surrounds himself are not too overly committed to what have traditionally been considered core American values. It would be interesting to find out how many of those 42 and counting czars are nut bars, given Holdren’s musings on population control, Sunstein’s wish to enfranchise critters and Lloyd’s view of total government control of all media. But then, the stakes are fairly high and these people can serve a useful purpose in furthering a radical agenda that would redefine the very meaning of America. Given that there is virtually no public record of any achievement that can be ascribed directly to Mr. Obama, other than he was a community organizer in the heart of the most politically corrupt municipality in America, it only makes sense to think that Obama could not pull off the type of coup d'etat he is attempting without outside help. And it’s a fact that nobody will just put forth a helping hand without some quid pro quo. Hence the idea that George Soros or a group of like-minded oligarchs are really wielding power in the executive branch and making the big decisions.
