Troops die. We ask why

He’s still weighing the option

It’s been only five weeks since the Washington Post, broke the news, General McChrystal had already submitted his assessment and needs, including strategies for the Afghanistan mission. The article was published September 21st followed by a FOX News report September 22nd. What a difference 36 days makes. When in doubt? The report was already in the hands of the D.o.D. (Department of Defense)

Prompted this weekend to write this column by a speech our ‘p’resident made at NAS (Naval Air Station) Jacksonville, Fla. incensed me so much I was drawn to the keyboard. Just one of many statements he made follows and I quote: “I will never rush the solemn decision of sending you into harms way. I won’t risk your lives unless it is absolutely necessary. ‘***’And if it is necessary, we will back you up to the hilt”. Not to confuse you, the “asterisk” noted at the beginning of the previous sentence has been recorded as an applause by the (MSM) main stream media. More to the point, the quote received a small amount of applause. But there was a much louder grunt of disbelief. Not a mouthing of the sound ‘boo’ but a much louder “Uh”. The sounds were met with his most telling view of the Military. Visibly his face changed and his eyes were like daggers. Now that connects with same attitude shown to General McChrystal. With silent dismissal he feels our forces aren’t risking their lives in theater already. He has no need to back them up. Just like the disdain he shows for the U.S.A. when he travels. Officially of course the White house didn’t receive the report until Sept. 23rd. No sense can really be made when the White House responded that no review would be made until a careful look and strategy had been developed. The General’s assessment doesn’t need to be considered apparently to conclude what strategy that must be made. Sounds like a very deadly political decision. That’s when the canola (ha ha) hit the fan. The story is old already as we know the first venom was hissed at FOX even though the exposure meant the normally unwilling (MSM) were forced to jump with the Real News for a change. General McChrystal disclosed it when asked about Presidential contact, having spoken to the President one time on Video conference since taking command in Afghanistan some 70 Days prior. There is time to go to Denmark to lobby for an Olympics that might give his pal Mayor Daley something else to sell. There is time to fund raise for the party’s Senators and Representative elections. There is time to work on destroying our way of life. Governmental form of socialistic fascism using only the words of change isn’t going to help the 66 members of the same military he spoke those words to this weekend. That right 66 of our best lost in 36 days. But that’s another item he can shelve until a political strategy evolves. Sixty-six in thirty-six days, from September 21 until October 27, 2009.
