Update: You're help is needed! Hundreds of United States Marines are scheduled to arrive this afternoon at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on their way to the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, in Twentynine Palms CA. Officials from the Clark County Department of Aviation have agreed to open a meeting room near the A and C Gates so that our service men and women do not have to sleep on the airport floor. However, food and beverages are not scheduled to be provided by the county Volunteers are needed, along with food and beverages. If you would like to help, please contact Peter "Chris" Christoff @ 702-496-0037. image image image If our soldiers are hungry, they must purchase overpriced food from licensed McCarran vendors. image image Tourists from all over the world see this disgrace as they pass through our city's airport. What must foreigners think when they see how we disrespect our nation's armed forces? image image image image image image image The facility shown below is vacant. It was previously the VIP lounge for US Airways. At 4,000 square feet, it includes a kitchen and restrooms, and will make a perfect USO for soldiers transiting through McCarran especially while tens of thousands of military personnel are being deployed overseas. Military personnel travel stand by, and must often spend hours and days awaiting available seating. image This video truck will begin cruising up and down the Las Vegas Strip on Monday, January 4. The photos shown above of United States Marines on their way to Afghanistan were taken on Saturday, January 2, 2010 by retired Marine Sergeant Peter "Chris" Christoff. If you believe this is a worthy cause, please contact Senator Reid. Thank you.
