This was my heart, my choice and my health

Gloating Over American Superiority in Ice Hockey & Health Care

It is not often that we Americans gloat with pride at victories over our Canadian brethren.

However, two recent events proved to be too delicious for modesty to prevail. The first involved the huge upset posted by the US Hockey team over the Canadian team in Vancouver. It was like de ja vu all over again in 1980 when the Americans defeated Russia in a game just slightly over-hyped as the “Miracle on Ice.” The other newsworthy item is far more serious than a damn hockey match. It involves the whole issue of health care in the United States as opposed to the Canadian system which US leftists are trying to impose on 300 million unwilling American patriots. As reported, in part, at Google news, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams came to the US when his health was on the line: “An unapologetic Danny Williams says he was aware his trip to the United States for heart surgery earlier this month would spark outcry, but he concluded his personal health trumped any public fallout over the controversial decision. "This was my heart, my choice and my health," Williams said late Monday from his condominium in Sarasota, Fla.” What a perfect slogan for defeating ObamaCare and commie medicine: “It’s my heart (or whatever), my choice, and my health!” You rock, Danny Williams!
