It is about time someone cut through the media bias, historical re-writes and propaganda, we are not allowed to do this in U.S. anymore we MUST be politically correct. I do suggest the writer should examine closely what happened during southern re-construction and understand the Klan NEVER advocated slavery, southerners did NOT hate Negros. Those Negros who faced wrath were being used by the northern industrialists to destroy the south. The Ku Klux Klan would have never been anything but a harmless fraternity had Abraham Lincolns original plan for southern re-construction been implemented. The radical Republicans who sought a punative re-construction policy against southerners did more to"create" the Klan than ANY Democrat would have dared to dream of. Travis Pierce Membership Dir.
