The Oil Spill: Round Up the Usual Suspects

"Maybe it is too late to save America. Maybe we are not worthy of freedom anymore." -- Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen

REAR ADM. SALLY BRUCE-O'HARA, U.S. COAST GUARD: "...I don't imagine, given the professionalism of our partner, BP, and maybe partner with -- let me back up..." (LAUGHTER) (UNKNOWN): "They are not our partner. They are not our partner." BRUCE-O'HARA: "In terms of -- bad choice of words." (END VIDEO CLIP)
With Barack "Spread the Wealth" Obama's Administration in charge of the government; Janet "The System Worked" Napolitano in charge of Homeland Security, and Eric "A Nation of Cowards" Holder as Attorney General of the United States, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the truth about what caused the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Was it sabotage? At this point, there's no telling. What happened aboard the Deepwater Horizon was rare, but not unheard of, so the mundane explanation that it was all an accident, must be counted as one of the chief explanations for what happened. On the other hand, ruling out sabotage at this point is foolish. There are a number of organizations, companies, and countries which stand to profit handsomely from a major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico -- financially and/or ideologically. The eco-terror group E.L.F. (Earth Liberation Front) might be a good place to start looking for connections. Cute name; despicable people. These eco-terrorists are tunnel-visioned misanthropes, who are capable of any number of violent acts in the name of "Mother Earth--Gaia." At the other end of the spectrum, size-wise, are the countries that will profit from the oil spill -- countries such as Venezuela, Russia, Iran.... Speaking of Iran, if I were Saudi Arabia, I'd be very worried about Iran's growing nuclear capabilities. In fact, I'd be worried if I was any Muslim country with a Sunni majority -- which pretty much means every Muslim country except Iran. The reason being; Iran is the only Muslim country with a Shi'ite majority, and the Shi'ites are looking for payback against the Sunnis; for centuries of abuse and second class status. When Iran gets an atomic bomb, it won't just be Israel that will need to watch out -- but the rest of the Muslim (Sunni) world, as well. I bring attention to this, because if Iran attacks Saudi Arabia, or starts "freeing" other countries with downtrodden Shi'ite minorities, then we can say goodbye to Middle East oil. Coupled with a shutdown of offshore drilling in the US -- such as proposed by California Governor Schwarzenegger -- this will be disastrous for America's economy -- but great news for the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). All is in place for the CCX to start raking in trillions of dollars -- while redistributing wealth at the same time. A true win/win situation for greedy leftist ideologues. Chairman and founder of the CCX, Richard Sandor, told CNBC.com “Carbon, when it becomes worldwide, will be unambiguously the largest commodity in the world...you’re talking about $10 trillion at maturity.” Just pass Cap and Trade, and the money will start flowing to CCX, but Cap and Trade has been stalled in Congress. What to do, what to do? Gee, a giant oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico sure would get things moving again, wouldn't it? Glenn Beck explained on his show recently, how Obama helped to set up the CCX, while he sat on the board of The Joyce Foundation. Beck "connected the dots" and showed "the collusion between Barrack Obama, George Soros, Al Gore, Goldman Sachs, Franklin Raines (super-crooked Fannie Mae head), CCX, and Generation Investment Management (GIM -- London based company co-founded by AL Gore)." Among many UN connected people on CCX's advisory board, is Maurice Strong -- chairman of the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where President Bush (I) signed the United States on board for the UN's Agenda 21. Strong has said that "Frankly, we may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse." Uh huh. Regardless of how the Deepwater Horizon disaster started, do you see any reason for concern here? Let me start wrapping things up with some comments on disinformation. There 's a persistent rumor floating around that a N. Korean ship (sailing from Havana, Cuba) was involved in the events leading up to the oil spill. (eutimes.com) To date, no reliable source for this rumor has been found. It is almost certainly either well intentioned, but misleading, scuttlebutt, or intentional disinformation. Another rumor making the rounds, stems from a satirical article by Andy Borowitz, that had fun with the idea of Goldman Sachs knowing about the oil spill beforehand, then using its "insider" knowledge to profit from the disaster. It's actually a pretty humorous article. (smirkingchimp.com) The problem here, is that good satire, to be effective, needs to stretch the truth to absurd extremes. Jonathan Swift's satire on the Irish famine is one famous example. Painting Goldman Sachs as being venal, manipulative, and amoral; is neither much of a stretch in believability, nor all that hard to accept. Consequently Borowitz's article may seem more like a straight "take" on Goldman Sachs, rather than satire, and a number of folks have taken it at face value. Gives you an idea of the rep Goldman Sachs has these days. In closing, an article that appeared in FrontPage about a year ago, noted that "CCX’s members include Ford, DuPont, Dow Corning and the states of Illinois and New Mexico. CCX also owns 50 percent of the European Climate Exchange (ECX), which features such members as Shell, British Petroleum, Barclays -- and Goldman Sachs." British Petroleum -- better known as BP. I'm indebted to my readers for several heads-up in connection with this article -- especially the "Patriotic Mammas." Thank you, ladies. Laus Deo.
