Obama’s Unforgivable Sin

A Religion of Division

The freshman never-done-nothing nobody Senator from Chicago who has been leading the 2008 race for the White House for months could do no wrong in the eyes of his many minions until his true personal belief system became public through the YouTube outing of his life-long spiritual leader, Jeremiah Wright.

Desperate to distance himself from his Muslim heritage, Barack Hussein Obama made the critical error of using his alleged “Christian” faith as a centerpiece of his presidential campaign. His charismatic stump speeches about faith, unity, hope and change drew thousands of unsuspecting young followers hungry for all the above. But then they asked about the specifics…

A Christian Faith?

The Obama family does indeed belong to a Chicago area church which carries a Christian name, the Trinity Church of Christ. They have belonged to this church for almost twenty years. Obama was married in this church, his children baptized in it as well and Obama himself has referred to Pastor Jeremiah Wright as his “spiritual leader, his mentor, his counselor, his friend and his advisor” for years. In fact, even when Pastor Wright retired from the pulpit, Obama hired him as an advisor to his political campaign.   Obama has since been forced to distance himself from Pastor Wright in response to the public display of racism, anti-Americanism and hate, evidenced in a growing number of video taped sermons by Pastor Wright.

The Racist Anti-American Views of One Pastor?

The many recorded incendiary statements of Rev. Wright are available for your consideration at YouTube. The point of this column is not to repeat them, but rather to ask, - are they the twisted racist America-bashing slurs of just one man? Are Rev. Wright’s views inconsistent with the beliefs of his congregation, including the Obama family?   Rev. Wright was the Pastor and spiritual leader of the Trinity Church of Christ for 36 years. He didn’t just have a single fit of rage on one particular Sunday, or as a result of one particular event. He had a 36 year history of making anti-American racist comments from the pulpit and his congregation can be seen chanting and dancing in the aisles as he makes those statements via the video taped sermons available on YouTube.   This was not the deranged opinion of one man, but the fundamental belief system of the entire church congregation.

Shocking News to the Obama Family?

Contrary to Obama’s initial reaction, that he was caught completely off guard by the news that his pastor was a hate-filled anti-American racist, Obama followed days later with the admission that he had known for some time about his pastor’s less than Christian-like views towards America and all those “white folks.” Trapped in the pew on some of the same days Rev. Wright was spewing hate-filled tirades from the pulpit, Obama was forced to come up with a new defense strategy. He chose offense.   However, the Obama family was not a member of Pastor Wright’s church for 20 minutes, or 20 weeks, or 20 months, but 20 years! The shock was only the result of being caught like a deer in headlights - in a systematic attempt to mislead voters into thinking they were supporting a good ole American Christian full of post-racist hope for change.

More than Words

Rev. Wright’s inflammatory statements are more than the mere words of one man. They are in fact the fundamental teachings of his church and one need look no further than the church web-site itself for confirmation.   On the “about us” page, the church offers a Ten Point Vision Statement in its own words and among those ten points are the following commitments,   • A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA (not America) • A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION (A religion of division) • A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA • A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY   On the “mission” page of the site, the church calls upon its members “to become agents of change for God who is not pleased with America’s economic mal-distribution!” As if America is in the “distribution” of economic parity business and “African people” are not getting their fair share of “redistributed” wealth.   The church prides itself in raising funds for “black” students and caring for “black” members of their community at large. But where are the “white folks” in this “Christian” church and where is the church “non-negotiable commitment” to America, better education for all Americans, and freedom from government tyranny for all?   According to Obama’s church, it seems that Jesus was a Marxist who only liked black folks…. This is about much more than one man and his racist anti-American sermons. This is about an entire community of Americans who clearly see themselves as something other than American, with a commitment to something other than America or American principles.   Early in Obama’s campaign for president, he made this statement, which sounded good at the time… "...we really have to do some soul-searching to think about what kind of toxic information are we feeding our kids."   But after hearing with our own ears what kind of “toxic information” Obama has been feeding his family, this statement kind of loses its luster.

Obama’s Christian-like Reaction to His Political Firestorm?

He did not condemn the Rev. Wright for his statements. Instead, he threw his white grandmother under the bus for being just as much a racist as his pastor, according to him. Then he said that he could no more distance himself from his spiritual leader than the rest of his community. That’s because his entire “Christian” community holds the same beliefs as their spiritual leader.   He did not ask for forgiveness for lying when he said he was shocked to learn his pastor was a racist America hater. He instead spent 20 minutes making excuses for his pastor’s behavior and calling upon ALL Americans to behave better, as if every American had somehow engaged in the same hate-filled behavior his pastor and congregation had. But every church I have ever attended had both black and white folks in the pews.   Is this a “Christian” reaction to being caught red handed in the very behaviors he has accused others of displaying? Not where I come from…

The Unforgivable Sin

Like it or not, Obama is not accountable for the sins of his spiritual leader, or his church brethren who danced in the aisle celebrating hate-speech, or even the black community at large, which has wasted too many years trying to cash-in at the public trough for acts against their ancestors more than a hundred years ago.   But he must be held to account for his obvious deceit and overt hypocrisy and his contemptuous closet perpetuation of racism and class warfare. He has made his entire campaign about hope for positive change in a post-racist America in desperate need of pro-American unity. Yet he has spent twenty years supporting a church and a community who has worked around the clock to separate Americans on the basis of race and class warfare and he belongs to a political party which has exploited the black community for political power for decades.   He claims to love America and all that it stands for, yet he promises to change everything it has ever stood for by implementing his version of Marxism, where as Commander-in-Chief, he can “take from those according to their ability; and give to those according to their need,” in the true tradition of Marxist Socialism, in the name of “Christianity?”   His unforgivable sin is that he is a complete and unrepentant fraud!   Like his spiritual leader, he sees America as only an evil empire of rich white folks who must be forced to their knees for the betterment of African-America. His campaign policy platforms say so. His spiritual leader has taught him this for more than twenty years. His wife became “proud of America” only when it began to appear that her husband might become President of a nation she otherwise despises.   "...we really have to do some soul-searching to think about what kind of toxic information are we feeding our kids."   Yes we do… We need to start asking -   • Who is telling our children that skin color matters in America? • Who is telling our children that if they aren’t white, they can’t succeed in America and if they are white, they owe their earnings to a greater common good? • Who is telling our children that America is the evil empire of the world? • Who is telling our children that they need socialized government solutions to personal problems, in the freest most prosperous nation on earth? • Who is telling our children that a mother’s right to kill supersedes a child’s right to life? • Who is telling our children that it takes a commune (a government) instead of two strong parents to raise a child? • Who is telling our children that morality is a thing of the past and that an immoral secular socialist abyss is the progressive future of our nation?   We really do need to do some serious soul-searching about who is feeding our children such toxic information and why, - and we had better start with Barack Obama, his spiritual leader, and those in charge of today’s Democrat Party who seem to have cornered the market on toxic information.   And we had better start asking these questions and demanding answers soon!
