A Shout-out For Arizona

The Arizona immigration law has really brought to the public attention which side of legal immigration, and the Constitution, our public leaders are on. While some support the law of legal immigration, others have shown contempt for U.S. law and shown their support for lawbreakers and illegal migration in spite of their oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution.

They attempt to divert attention away from the legal issue and claim that it is all about discrimination and racism. No matter how absurd this is to the vast majority of Americans, they continue to play the race card and make themselves look stupid and foolish. Are we to believe that they don't know the difference between Hispanic U.S. citizens and illegal aliens? It would seem so. Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution states: The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence. This government is failing in its constitutional obligation to protect the southern Border States from invasion and the resulting domestic violence, in spite of repeated pleas and demands from the states that it does so.

Racism and disagreement with Liberal Policies

Discrimination is something we all practice in every day of our lives. We call it making choices between what we want and what we do not want. Ever since the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the American left has been using this word interchangeably with "racism" and throwing it at people who disagree with them and their liberal policies. The Civil Rights Act uses the word in specific context as applied to employment and other civic activities where racism is prohibited. It does not repeal our right to discriminate in our daily lives on other issues. Discrimination is not a dirty word; it is the right of all Americans. Illegal aliens are not a protected class under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Why should we not discriminate against illegal alien invaders in our country? The critics - which include Obama, his administration, and liberal city councils such as those in Los Angeles and San Francisco - claim the Arizona immigration law permits "racial profiling," which of course it does not. Either those making this claim have not read the law (which applies to most) or they are lying about its contents. They make the claim that the law "might lead to racial profiling," and therefore is unconstitutional. Well, in the first place, the Constitution does not mention profiling of any kind but says only that all citizens shall be treated equally under the law. That law works two ways - to protect the American citizens, and to detain the lawbreakers. Illegal aliens fall into that second group and in compliance with "equal protection" are entitled to be subject to the same law as legal citizens and to be arrested under the law. Since when are laws deemed unconstitutional simply because they might lead to the violation of another law? We don't ban banks because they could lead to bank robberies. We don't ban automobiles because they could lead to traffic violations. We don't ban public bars because they could lead to public drunkenness and drunk driving. Moreover, we don't ban the police from asking for a driver's license on a traffic stop because it could lead to an arrest for an outstanding warrant. If racial profiling is found to exist in some cases, then that may be a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, but not a constitutional violation. The violation should then be dealt with when it happens by state or local authorities, or the federal district court for civil rights violations as a last resort. Yet the critics of the Arizona law claim that somehow it violates the Constitution and should be banned. So the critic's position is that American citizens should be required to show identification on traffic stops unless they appear to be Hispanic - in which case they shouldn't. That is racial profiling. Arizona authorities are not being asked to profile by race - they are being given permission to enforce federal immigrations law and profile illegal aliens. Is it our fault that the vast majority of them are Hispanics? Should we also ignore the fact that terrorists are Islamic - as the Obama administration does?

Looking for illegal aliens according to their profile: no driver's license; no id; no English language

The Arizona police will not be out there looking for Hispanics, they will be looking for illegal aliens according to their profile: no driver's license; no id; no English language. And that is not racial profiling, it's just good common sense. At our only other land border, Canadians enter our country legally, they don't sneak in. Once here, they contribute to our society, obey our laws, and speak our language. That is why we don't have drug wars, gunfights, and invasion problems at the northern border. Canadians respect our laws and customs, Mexican invaders do not. A century ago, President Teddy Roosevelt put it this way:
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Roosevelt understood what it means to be an American. It means to leave old country ways behind, learn American history, language and culture, and assimilate into the American society. This is what has always been required for immigration into this country, until recent decades. We cannot allow isolated communities of foreigners to set up their own societies and cultures within our borders, which ultimately lead to culture wars, civil unrest, and cohesive breakdown of society. The radical left Marxists and Alinskyites know this, which is why they have been promoting "diversity" in America and dividing the country into separate minority groups. America was founded on the concept of unity, not diversity.

E Pluribus Unum - Out of many, one

"E Pluribus Unum - Out of many, one." That is what America is about - ONE PEOPLE, not a gaggle of diverse ethnic groups. Come to America to become one of us. Do not come here to divide our culture into fragmented ethnic groups. Do not come here to create and celebrate diversity with hyphenated national identities. Do not come here to claim minority status and collect entitlements from the taxpaying citizens. Do not come here to exploit our generosity and work against the unity this country was founded upon. If you come here legally to become an American and nothing but a legal American citizen, you will be welcomed by us. But if you come here illegally to drag our country down to the level of the country you came from, you will be rejected by the American people, and as more states adopt the Arizona law, you will be arrested and sent back home. All Americans with an ounce of patriotism in their bodies should be applauding and supporting Arizona - a state that not only respects and obeys American law, but now finds itself in the position of having to enforce it because this despicable, America-hating regime now in Washington will not fulfill its constitutionally required responsibilities on this, as well as a number of other issues. Boycotts against Arizona are popping up around the country, but Arizona is not taking this lying down. Arizona Fights Back is a website where you can see who is participating in the boycotts and what you can do to help Arizona fight back. This unfair economic warfare against one of our own American states must be stopped. Did we boycott Massachusetts for making gay marriage legal? As a resident of Los Angeles, my hat is off to Arizona. And if you want to cut off our power, please cut power to the idiots in the Los Angeles City Hall first. We will understand and support you.
