While many Americans are aware of overtly tyrannical power-grabs - ObamaCare and Cap-and-Trade - a more insidious power-grab is flying beneath the radar, that of court nominees. The Dem-dominated Senate Judiciary Committee is moving radicals toward confirmation, men like Goodwin Liu and Robert Chatigny, whose respective nominations to the Ninth and Second Circuits should alarm Americans who believe in “blind justice.”
Liu, a Berkeley professor,
sees the Constitution in “context” (his own) and like
the man who nominated him is a “redistribution”
proponent. Adding him to the Ninth Circuit is like adding a loon to a funny farm, true, but it’s also a fast-track to another
Court. Yikes.
Chatigny (pronounced Shot-nee) meanwhile, protects freaks. On a half-dozen occasions, as a jurist, he sentenced distributors of child porn beneath guidelines—way
beneath. He also attempted to strike down Megan’s Law, which establishes a sex offender registry, until all nine Supreme Court justices over-turned his
decision. In the minds of Americans, these are disqualifiers, but for skeptics, there’s also Chatigny’s support of Michael Ross, a serial
killer whom he tried to
protect.
Said Chatigny of the eight-time strangler/rapist: “He’s at Cornell, he had this classmate, this petite Asian girl who is sweet, and he likes her, and he winds up killing her because he has this affliction, this terrible disease…. This awful, uncontrollable impulse to sexually brutalize this person he liked and then to kill her. Michael Ross may be the least culpable - the least - of all the people on death row.”

Burke once said, “There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men.” Doubtless, he speaks to our plight today.
