Seven-year investigation with the arrest of ten people in Yonkers, Boston and northern Virginia suspected of being part of a Russian espionage ring

Putin’s Hydrangeas

They couldn’t have been spies, look what she did with the hydrangeas. -- Jessie Gugig, age 15 The FBI ended a seven-year investigation with the arrest of ten people in Yonkers, Boston and northern Virginia suspected of being part of a Russian espionage ring. The spies lived in deep cover, assuming false identities with the intention of penetrating American “policy making circles”. Mocking our immigration policies, the SVR, successor to the KGB, code named the program “The Illegals”.

Substituting high tech communications for the now passé Venona cables, the operatives managed to gain access to a government employee working in a nuclear program. Experts are astonished by the length and depth of the penetration. Why the surprise? The combination of our lax immigration enforcement combined with decades of indifference to the threat from Russian operatives makes this sort of thing a certainty. Putin’s people didn’t abandon their goals of conquering the United States—his hydrangea growers just got better at fitting in. We could have tamed the bear after Reagan won the Cold War. Instead, the Clinton administration allowed George Soros to run wild in the dying Soviet Union. The results were entirely predictable. Working in tandem with Strobe Talbott, Russian Policy Czar, they set about playing games with government funds. Soros reveled in having so much access to the Clintons and fancied himself part of the “Clinton team.” Clinton squandered the opportunity to help the Russian people form a healthy democracy and instead allowed Soros and his team to profiteer, leaving the country in shambles. (Horowitz, David and Poe, Richard. The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party). We now have a government forcing overtly socialist policies on America. Socialism is the bridge between capitalism and communism. In a communist state, all private property rights are abolished. To strip citizens of their property rights requires that the government use force. Throughout history, we have seen murderous thugs: Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Chavez, Castro, and others use force against their own citizens to seize and maintain power. Millions of innocent citizens have been slaughtered in the name of creating a socialist utopia. We don’t need guards at our borders to keep people in. You will note that Obama, like all socialists, makes a lot of racket about “the poor” and the “workers.” We are supposed to believe that allowing the government to grab maximum power is going to help the working class. They always say that. But in actual practice, socialism is cherished only by intellectuals and benefits only the elites, not the workers. After World War II, America became complacent about the Soviet Union. Only a few dared to attempt to ferret out communist subversives in our own government. In the mind of the liberal, Senator Joe McCarthy was a deranged conservative finding imaginary communists under every rock and creating the fiction of the Red Menace. Note: they have the same attitude today about radical Islam. Following the fall of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, enormous amounts of data became available, including the Venona papers: coded messages from the KGB and other communist intelligence agencies about communist agents in the United States which have vindicated McCarthy (Evans, M. Stanton.  Blacklisted By History:  The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America’s Enemies). Today, such media luminaries as Bill O’Reilly claim communism is not a threat to America anymore. Kids in public schools certainly are not taught the true history of the Cold War. The president thinks the Cold War ended because the people of Eastern Europe and Russia decreed a peaceful end. No, Mr. President, the Cold War was won because President Ronald Reagan stood absolutely resolute against brutal oppression and tyranny. Reagan took down a thoroughly evil empire that had slaughtered millions of its own citizens while forcing the rest to live in abject misery. Not only was Senator McCarthy right about Soviet operatives in our government, new data is coming out showing that liberal deities, Ted Kennedy and Walter Cronkite were in on the plot to cooperate with the KGB. American Spectator’s Kevin Mooney is reporting that Teddy offered to work in close concert with high level Soviet officials to sabotage President Reagan’s re-election.
Kennedy's long history with the KGB is well documented, but underreported. It remains available through the writings of the now deceased Vasiliy Mitrokhin, who defected to Britain from the Soviet Union in 1992, and a separate 1983 memo addressed to then General Secretary Yuri Andropov. Kennedy's actions occurred at the expense of presidential authority and in violation of federal law, according to academics and scholars who are familiar with the documents.
Kennedy recommended Walter Cronkite as another potential KGB ally. Cliff Kincaid of AIM:
The late CBS Evening News anchorman Walter Cronkite is named in a just-released FBI document from 1986 as being targeted in a Soviet ‘active measures’ campaign against President Reagan’s anti-communist foreign policy. Cronkite is named as a possible member of a U.S. delegation that would sign a pro-Soviet ‘People’s Peace Treaty.’
Using the same idiotic reasoning that we see in Barack Obama, Wally and Teddy thought the Soviet Union could be placated in its efforts toward world domination via “dialog”.
At Columbia University in 1983, a young Barack Obama wrote sympathetically about groups involved in the ‘nuclear freeze’ campaign and the dangers of ‘militarism’ and expressed the hope for total disarmament. As President, he is pursuing the goal of a world free of nuclear weapons, which many experts say is unverifiable, and just signed a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia that he wants ratified by the U.S Senate. Obama is opposed to modernization of the U.S. nuclear deterrent.
Yuri Alexandrovic Bezmenov defected from the Soviet Union to the West in 1970. He escaped at great risk to his life to get away from the collective system so revered by liberals and celebutards. After a long career in the Soviet press, Bezmenov calls us out on our complacency as the United States government follows the old Soviet model of ideological subversion inching toward the George Soros hoax of a New World Order. Our enemies in Russia invest a mere fifteen-percent of their time, money and resources into espionage; the greater threat to our freedom comes from what Bezmenov calls ideological subversion; a slow brainwashing process in four stages. The current administration is dedicated to rushing us through the final stages of subversion.
