The land of the free and home of the brave needs its people to stand up and speak out and take back their liberty

Will John Wayne be there in November?

Growing up in the beautiful Canadian Province of British Columbia I had a lot of heroes in my life. The one who always stood out among the crowd was John Wayne. I was a young lad during his early career but there was nothing like a movie whether it be a good western or a great war saga with John Wayne coming to the rescue. I can still hear the hooves of the horses and the sound of the cavalry bugle as he led the charge to save his country.

The sound of the gunfire and bombs, the smell of the powder and above all that noise a tall man would lumber out of the smoke, turn and holler behind him 'follow me boys'! He would pick up the stars and stripes and run into the bullets .... always winning in the end. He was a fighter! He was a patriot! He was all things American! As long as Mr. Wayne won the war on the screen I would sleep safe at night knowing America would live to fight another day! There was no greater or stronger nation that I knew of on this earth. All was right in the world. Here I am all these years later and 68 year old. I don't sleep well anymore because the world has been turned upside down. I do not see any heroes - only villains, and from my side of the fence, I see my American cousins at a crossroads regarding the fate of their country. The land of the free and home of the brave needs its people to stand up and speak out and take back their liberty. Sometimes I think I see this happening but then I step back and wonder to myself if Americans are really ready to stand up for their "Red, White & Blue?" Do you really 'get' the trouble their country is in? As I travel the internet on a daily basis I am convinced you are one second - and convinced you are not the next. It is not a good thing to hear a countries national debt spiraling out of control. It is not a good thing to know a country is now buying its own debt. That is like using one credit card to pay for another and sooner or later the road dead ends. It is not a good thing to see the American government octopus itself into the daily lives of people who are a proud nation who 'live free!' In fact it is not freedom at all to take government promises of helping to make your life better because of more government control. It makes you 'less free'.

The people holding the strings of this President do not love America and all it stands for

Your White House was bought and paid for in the last election cycle. The people holding the strings of this President do not love America and all it stands for. That is evident in all that keeps happening. They have an agenda that goes against everything your American Republic stands for. They must be voted out in November and again in 2012. I can see John Wayne in his ten gallon hat swaggering up to his men with his fingers hooked in his belt. I can hear his voice boom out as he jumps up on his horse ready to save the day telling the men "Time to ride Pilgrims!" November is coming. He is talking to you, America. Have you been listening? "In the last decades of his career, Mr. Wayne became something of an American folk figure, hero to some, villain to others, for his outspoken views. He was politically conservative and, although he scorned politics as a way of life for himself, he enthusiastically supported Richard M. Nixon, Barry Goldwater, Spiro T. Agnew, Ronald Reagan and others who, he felt, fought for his concept of Americanism and anti-Communism."
