CNN Ratings Abyss

Parker Spitzer Takes on Conservative Critic

Conservative direct mail guru Richard Viguerie who criticized CNN’s liberal tilt in a recent column appeared on Parker Spitzer to back up his claims.

This is what Viguerie had to say about Parker Spitzer;
I guess some genius at CNN thinks putting disgraced, former left-wing Democratic New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer and pleasantly wishy-washy, mostly plain vanilla Republican Kathleen Parker on at 8:00 p.m. (prime time) will appeal to their vast lost audience.
Viguerie pointed out that he had yet to hear Parker issue an ideological thought that disagrees with Spitzer to which she shot back that she wasn’t an ideologue and that she will be taking her colleague down in the future. Yeah right. As for Spitzer he had the audacity to say that he wasn’t conservative or liberal which will probably come as a shock to not only the people at CNN but to all the liberals who voted for him. One thing that is clear from this exchange is that neither Parker or Spitzer know what they really stand for. The show which was supposed to be a more modern and polite version of the old Crossfire program has turned into a bland affair that doesn’t really say anything. The result of this identity crisis is that the show is dragging CNN further into the ratings abyss and will be lucky to survive the year.
