Apparently it’s not enough to have President Obama and his team declare that there is no “War on Terror” for the United States. They insist, that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism. Such a statement can only be made because they willfully ignore reality.

President Obama’s top counterterrorism advisor, John Brennan, insists that the President does not accept that there is a “global war” with Islamic terrorists. Brennan further announced that the term “jihadists” would no longer be used to describe our enemies. According to Mr. Brennan, to use the term “jihadists” in describing Islamic terrorists is a mistake because it is “a legitimate term, ‘jihad’ meaning to purify oneself or to wage a holy struggle for a moral goal.” Obama is incapable of answering the question what is Jihad? He maintains that this use of the term to describe al Qaeda’s ruthless operatives “risks giving these murderers the religious legitimacy they desperately seek, but in no way deserve. Where did they find this guy? Let’s not forget, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's explanation about not using the terms Islamic or jihadists, associated with acts of terror is political correctness at it's worst. "I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur." No Ms. Napolitano, as most in your ever so politically correct administration you can’t deal with reality. To be sure the survivors of 9-11 the family members of the fallen, as well as our troops who have given their lives, their families and the many who will be forever physically or mentally crippled will never appreciate your nuance. To add to the lunacy, as reported in the Wall Street Journal On November 3rd, "Sooner State Shuns Sharia," it took less than a week to have the will of the people blocked by the Oklahoma federal court. A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order Monday to block a new amendment to the Oklahoma Constitution that would prohibit state courts from considering international or Islamic law when deciding cases. Please don't let the term international law slip past you. How could such a ruling be rendered? Is the judge not sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution, as well as that of the state of Oklahoma? Well, she doesn’t think so, and neither does Muneer Awad. "My constitutional rights are being violated through the condemnation of my faith," said Muneer Awad, executive director of (CAIR), the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma. “Islam was the target of this amendment. This amendment does not have a secular purpose." This is absolutely wrong. It does have a secular purpose: to stop Islamic religious Sharia law from insinuating itself into American secular law. Whether you call that “democracy at work,” or the proper procedure of a rights-protecting republic, the shills for Sharia object very much to self-governance. The Council on American-Islamic Relations jumped on it immediately, waving the unsheathed sword of lawsuits. Leave it to CAIR, Islam’s equivalent of the ACLU to subvert the will of the people. The amendment passed 70-30%. CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror-finance trial against the Holy Land Foundation and its former officials. (CAIR) is the product of a Hamas-support network in the United States. After a 2007 trial ended with a deadlocked jury, a 2008 retrial resulted in guilty verdicts on 108 counts. CAIR petitioned the Dallas court presiding over the Holy Land trial to be removed from the co-conspirator list. Their complaint emphasized the unusual nature of making public the names of the unindicted co-conspirators and claimed the move unfairly tarnished CAIR's reputation. That request was denied that summer. Subvert the will of the people? Islam’s stated goal of world dominance and its plan of becoming the only religion in the world makes that statement absurd. Equally incredulous is the way CAIR seems to forget that under Shaira, there is no will of the people. Most of its tenants, female genital mutilation, amputation, deaths by stoning, hanging, beheading, and child marriage, disproportionately inflicted on women, would be considered crimes against humanity in the civilized world. One must wonder how short the memories of CAIR’s ambulance chasers can be? How can they reconcile the various forms of torture with that of Omar M. Ahmad, chairman of the board of CAIR, who said to Muslims in 1998? "If you choose to live here (in America), you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam," he said. “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant,” he said. “The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” Awad, among other claims, asserts that the law “stigmatizes” Muslims. Wrong. The fact that Muslims in the name of Islam commit the overwhelming majority of terrorist attacks in this country and around the world, stigmatizes them. And the primitive, brutal, Dark Age legal and moral code that comprises Sharia law stigmatizes Sharia, as well. It is well past time our government take Islam and Sharia for the the serious threats they are and develop legislation that will forever codify Oklahoma's attempt to deal with this issue. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, I'm J.C. Jim Campbell runs Charging Elephants.
