image"It is my pleasure to set the record straight." -- Bill O'Reilly on Obama's eligibility to be POTUS (4/12/11) "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." -- Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV) This is really more of an addendum to my last article than an article in its own right, but I feel that Bill O'Reilly's show last night calls for a response. If Ann Coulter "roved" herself on Monday night, then O'Reilly "uber-roved" himself Tuesday night. I doubt his viewership will start running for the hills post haste, but I do believe his ratings will take a hit in the weeks and months ahead. The process will snowball.

O'Reilly's duplicitous smoke-and-mirrors act regarding Obama's eligibility isn't "playing in Peoria" these days; at least it isn't playing well. "We the people" can see all too clearly that, at best, Obama is in over his head, and at worst, deliberately nose-diving the US economy into the ground. Perhaps we are witness to a combination of both ineptitude, and treason. Given what little we do know of Obama's past, and considering the type of people he has surrounded himself with, both before and during his Presidency, you would have to be extraordinarily dense and/or deluded not to be deeply concerned about Obama's credentials. Officer O'Reilly can say "Nothing to see here folks, move along" all he wants, but "we the people" know d--n well there is something here to see, and we are not moving along. One of the first "important" myths that O'Reilly attacked Tuesday night was the First Lady's staff. "Mrs. Obama has more aides than any other First Lady. False." Well, thank you, Bill O'Reilly for putting that frivolous and Constitutionally irrelevant rumor to rest, and lumping it in with the other critically important questions that are crying out for legitimate, rigorous, and remorseless investigation. O'Reilly's supercilious dismissal of the vitally important issue of Obama's eligibility to be POTUS is no longer amusing, if it ever was. This is a very different America than the one of just three years ago. "We the people" are ever more aware of just how badly we have been lied to, ripped-off, and duped by the arrogant political elites, and just how leftist the slant of our media and entertainment venues has been. Media pundits who believe that we are still dependent on the pabulum and propaganda dished out by the various television talking heads are in for a rude awakening. O'Reilly did not set anything straight on his show last night, except how in the tank he is for the Progressive agenda. That, or he is the most thick-headed Mick on the planet. America increasingly goes to the Internet for its news. Among conservative websites the coin of the realm is truth and honesty -- if you do not deal faithfully in that coinage you will soon lose street cred, and your audience. It appears that TV's talking heads have yet to learn that lesson. O'Reilly is trying to pass off counterfeit currency, and it will catch up to him sooner or later. So goodbye Bill O'Reilly, or as they say in Ireland, "slán agat." In a recent article on Canada Free Press, Phil Brennan signed-off by trying to bestir O'Reilly's patriotism with the ancient Irish war cry "Faugh 'a ballagh!" (Clear the way!). I have another Irish war cry to sign-off with: Hey O'Reilly -- "Téigh trasna ort féin!" Link Laus Deo.
