The U.S. is a nation that blew onto the world’s playing field and stunned all. It was the story of spirited David standing against British Goliath and winning. We broke the rules and were rebellious regarding controlling and big Government. We dreamed about it, imagined it, prayed and fought it into existence and got our freedom. Our nation was founded on a real freedom, inspired by Judeo/Christian values.
As infant America grew, we finally had liberation to develop our own ideas and start businesses without the British Government stealing and controlling most of what we made. How did the Brits get away with their controls, taxation and oppression so long? It was a slow yet deliberate process which boiled the British subjects in submissive oil over years. It was protocol; You respect your leaders and the Queen; You never break the law, no matter how it looks. It is the law; God even says and reminds you in your Churches, ‘render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s;’ The Government knows best and in with these troubling and challenging times, redistributes wealth according to the need.’ Heard any of this the last few years?
As with all tyrannical, Government control schemes, the struggling, and distracted masses are thrown enough dog bones, promises and entertaining diversions in between their hard work day schedules that they either are too tired to notice or don’t care enough to find their voice and fight. Most just give in. Tyrants know that and just wait the people out and keep hitting back. Did I say it yet? Anyone notice anything the last few years?
Just like now in America, most of the people had become submissive sheep, grumpy at times, spilling coffee over political gossip and news at Starbucks but settled to relinquish more and more freedom and rights. As we have gotten hotter and hotter, not noticing the burning of our own flesh and smell of death, we have accepted pitch after pitch and sound bite after sound bite explaining and blaming the pain away.
In Britain, it was a providential, miracle of God that a few bolted and couldn’t take it anymore, so they left and came to America. Thank God that America was born and grew to the number one super power ever. We are hit and hurting, but our wounds are not mortal. We can recover, get back on our horse and assume the position but we must get back our fighting spirit and believe the truth of who we are, not who the far left and anti American radicals, (some in the White House and congress) tell us we are.
America is facing far more than the ‘British’ this time. We have a full on assault in the White House and with progressive Democrats who actually believe the path and future for this country is redistribution of wealth, endless tax increases, controls over health care, compromises of our national security and reputation. We are also facing the strong push toward international controls and Islamic conquest.
Real freedom isn’t confused about the issues
All this fighting about budgets and blaming is most fascinating and predictable. The bottom, common sense line is that all the Government departments and budgets should be audited and ALL redundant programs should be cancelled that waste the taxpayers’ money. We should run the country as a Mom runs her house, with common sense for the bills and needs of the family and cut backs where need be. Every family knows you can’t always afford a trip to the mall or night at the movies. Sometimes you have to not only cut back but take a second job.
The truth is
Government controls on the people should be dramatically reduced, starting with the shredding of all taxes on the American people accept a 2% national sales tax on all Government transactions. That would bring in way more than enough money to pay our bills, and chunk down our national debt. The best thing about changing to this concept of gaining money, the people would be freed of the dreaded IRS and Government controls. They could actually keep the money they earn, just like the founding Fathers intended. We have been boiling in the ‘anti freedom/Government control soup’ for so long that we now think it is a moral obligation to pay more and more taxes. Us gerbils are running the ‘exploit the fools’ treadmill beautifully. Anyone want to get off yet?
Finally, the national wake up call
The boiling, the apathy, the distractions were literally shredding and killing America UNTIL the godsend. I believe it was and is a miracle and answer to prayer the arrival and out of control growth of the Tea Party movement. Way over 100 million, red, white and blue Americans are angry and not planning to take it anymore. They have organized, met, marched, called, faxed and organized their funding sources again and again. Our sold out media and politicians mouths dropped and the drool fell down their chins as the Tea Party focused their pro America voices and weapons. The midterms made history and spoke their mind in most elections. They did that the old fashioned 1776 way.
The best gift of the Tea Party movement is that they are NOT owned by anyone or any political persuasion. They reflect and stand by candidates that are pro constitution, reflect fiscal responsibility, pro military, pro Judeo/Christian values and pro capitalist America. Their reality is two-fold. They are constantly attacked and called every name in the book by the progressive left and Obama. Sometimes conservatives have also thrown them under the bus as they have the ‘birthers.’ The other reality the Tea Party faces, among the name calling is that they are now considered priceless treasure and everyone’s best friend. Everyone wants and frankly needs their vote and support. They are too big now to just call names. They must be controlled, adopted, exploited and used. In this next election cycle, watch those on the left and right try to morph into a sound bite image they think they can manipulate the Tea Parties to support.
I’m smiling because as Dale Robertson, of teaparty.org and Steve Eichler, America’s legal analyst, has said the American people are organized and growing. They get the games, kiss up and name calling. They intend to stay on course and reclaim the White House, House and Senate in 2012. Let us pray for the sake of America they never sell out.
