Jack MacLaren, president of the OLA, and Ed Kennedy, president of the Frontenac-Lennox+Addington Landowners Association were also charged with "mischief" for their involvement in the same protest. All four OLA members have been commanded not to speak to each other or to MacKie McLaren, the township clerk, and not to go onto township lands. These charges were laid to intimidate OLA members at the request of Mayor Bob Johnston and councillor Dave Bennett and other members of Horton Township council. Det. Sylvain Archambeault who laid the charges, told Jack MacLaren that police chief Dave McDonald has instructed all police officers to have zero tolerance for any OLA activities in Horton Township and to arrest and charge all OLA members who participate in any OLA actions. The police have become a political arm of government and democracy has been denied the Reid family. In the pursuit of the three pillars of freedom, justice and democracy, the next OLA action in Horton Township will be announced soon. .
