"A time to love and a time to hate...." Ecclesiastes 3:8
It was like a punch in the gut when I first learned of the death of more then thirty US military personnel -- including over twenty SEALs -- during a recent operation in Afghanistan. My prayers go out them, and to their families -- may God comfort them in their grief.
To say that I am angry would be an understatement. To say that I am infuriated would be an understatement. To say that I am enraged would be an understatement. I am well beyond any of that.
If I was still in the Teams heads would roll -- literally. Not in anger, or rage; not in emotional turmoil, but with the same dispassionate, focused intensity with which I would take take out a rabid dog.
It is NOT open season on SEALs -- I guarantee you that. Payback should be swift, brutal, and secret. Screw the ROE, screw political correctness, and screw the asinine pukes in Washington DC who painted a target on SEAL Team Six.
There are "targets of opportunity" in Afghanistan and its environs. When I was a SEAL we were not told that we shouldn't kill someone outside of the field of battle -- instead we were given a class in body disposal. The unstated message being "Do what you feel you must -- but don't get caught. Don't do something stupid."
I will take that unstated message and spell it out: Do what you think you must, but don't get caught. No one need know about it -- perhaps that would be best. Then again, perhaps you might want to "make a statement." Your call.
Hooyah.
