Call-to-Action takes flight!

One week ago, we launched our Call-to-Action to the general public. Since then, we have taken in hundreds of new members at Patriots Union and Veteran Defenders - received calls from numerous organizations across the country ready to stand with us on November 11th - seen our call posted on more than 10,000 web sites and received several columns of support from leading online conservative news publications.

Former Navy Seal and VDA member Jim O'Neill has published two fantastic columns on the subject, here and here. Canada Free Press Editor and Chief Judi McLeod put us on the front cover of CFP with A Foot Soldiers Call to Save America.

It all started with a World Net Daily expose' that launched our Call-to-Action a week ago. Since then, the call has taken flight across the Internet and is being joined by many patriot organizations across the country. The Tea Party Tribune had this to say about our Call-to-Action. In the matter of a week, we have hit the ground running. We have received hundreds of emails and letters from volunteers hoping to make this event a record success, both from members and non-members. It is starting to look like the kind of "coming together" of patriots we had envisioned when we formed Patriots Union a little over one year ago. We are proud of every member of Patriots Union and Veteran Defenders who have stepped up to the plate and taken an active role in making it all possible. We call upon every member to step up now and make sure that the word spreads across this country like a brush fire out of control, until we hit our goal of 3 million patriots in Washington DC on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011. Call-to-Action Info

Details for the event are emerging as the Call-to-Action develops. The Call-to-Action is a joint mission sponsored and led by Veteran Defenders and Patriots Union. The Call is posted at both web sites along with other related information. The rally point has been established at the Washington Monument beginning as 0600 hours on November 11, 2011. Call-to-Action 11.11.11 Event Flyer Event Code of Conduct Facebook Event Group A special 11.11.11 Event Forum has been established for "members-only" on both sites. This is where the leadership and planning takes place among member-subscribers in a secure environment. While many other outside orgs are answering the call to action, the event will remain under the leadership of Veteran Defenders and Patriots Union members and council leaders. To engage in leadership, you must access the special forum using your primary member login information! The initiative will remain narrowly focused upon the agenda set by our leaders and sanctioned by our members. Additional information will be made available at both sites and updated to all members as it becomes available. Stay tuned and help get the word out!
