Swiching out Biden for Hillary Clinton

“Today Show” Speculation About Biden’s Future as VP Irks White House

The Today Show has managed to get on the wrong side of the White House after raising the question of whether or not Joe Biden will be President Obama’s vice presidential nominee next year.
On Wednesday Ann Curry asked Biden about whether or not he would be on the ticket and he told her that he was absolutely positive that he would be. Then yesterday, during an interview with Hillary Clinton which will be aired in it’s entirety on Monday, Savannah Guthrie asked Clinton about the possibility of her and Biden switching jobs next year. “I do not think it’s even in the realm of possibility, and in large measure because I think Vice President Biden has done an amazingly good job,’’ Clinton said. “He has taken on the burden of, you know, selling the economic plan, of traveling the country, of answering people’s questions.’’

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer had enough of The Today Show’s speculating and took to Twitter Thursday morning sending this tweet: “I have noticed a weird @todayshow obsession with faux story of Sec. Clinton replacing @VP…Have asked both about it last 2 days on the show.” The only thing weird about the “obsession” is that it came from The Today Show, a usually reliable ally for the Obama administration, and not from a conservative media outlet. Even if it isn’t true it underscores the liberal media’s concern that Obama needs to do something to improve his chances of reelection, even if it means dumping his vice president to do it.
