If Osama bin Laden had allegedly not been snuffed one year ago, would he be flying all over the world conducting al Qaeda business? Sounds farfetched until you consider that’s exactly what his handpicked heir apparent, Adnan el Shukrijumah is doing.
“A terrorist trial in New York has revealed how a fugitive Canadian is alleged to have instructed al-Qaeda recruits how to fire AK-47 rifles, how to lob hand grenades and how to shoot shoulder-mounted rocket launchers.” (The Globe and Mail, May 6, 2012). “The same training camp was attended by an important al-Qaeda fugitive known as “Hamad” – allegedly a pseudonym for Adnan El Shukrijumah, an alleged al-Qaeda planner of terrorist attacks and reputed to occasionally travel on a Canadian passport.” How is it that Adnan El Shukrijumah is “reputed to occasionally travel on a Canadian passport? (Hello, Canadian authorities!).

El Shukrijumah, whose nickname is Jaffar al-Tayyar, or “Jaffar the Pilot” because he “occasionally” pilots his own stolen crop dusting planes, is seemingly not the only terrorist out there at large “Flying the Friendly Skies”. In March of 2011, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) charged two Canadians with terrorism-related offences in connection to a 2009 plot to blow up packed subway cars in New York. “The RCMP allege that the al-Qaeda terrorists behind the plot were trained by a University of Manitoba student who has disappeared from Canada.” (The Globe and Mail, March 15, 2011). “Fred Imam vanished from Winnipeg in 2007 and is now suspected of being in the lawless mountains of northwestern Pakistan. He is now being sought on terrorist-training charges as part of a new criminal case.” It should be noted that El Shukrijumah, who once attended McMaster University “disappeared” from a Canadian campus too. How did the terrorist-training agents of al Qaeda get to Pakistan from Canada? According to Stratfor there are “resurfacing rumors that al Qaeda militant Adnan El Shukrijumah may have returned to the United States and is planning to conduct an attack.” Did he make it there on his “occasional” Canadian passport? Did ‘Jaffar the Pilot’ fly to the United States of America via Air Canada, slogan of which is “World class, worldwide”? While the CIA and its counterparts in Saudi Arabia and Yemen participate in plots where members pose as suicide bombers, real life terrorism is taking place with the real McCoys flying off, uninterrupted to Pakistan training camps. “The latest al-Qaeda bomb plot targeting U.S. aircraft was unraveled from inside the terrorist group by operatives — including an agent who posed as a willing suicide bomber — working on behalf of the CIA and its counterparts in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, said U.S. and Middle Eastern officials. “The Saudi intelligence service played a particularly important role in penetrating al-Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen and recovering the explosive device, according to officials, who described an elaborate espionage operation in which the CIA tracked the bomb’s movements for weeks and then killed suspected plotters in a drone strike after the device was seized. “Senior U.S. officials continued to withhold certain details, including the location and status of the individual — described by officials as a Saudi informant — who penetrated the terrorist group posing as a bomber and then turned over the device to authorities after leaving Yemen. “But comments by White House counterterrorism adviser John O. Brennan and others made it clear that the involvement of the CIA and its partners went well beyond simply watching the plot unfold. “We’re confident that neither the device nor the intended user of this device posed a threat to us,” Brennan said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “We had the device in our control, and we were confident that it was not going to pose a threat to the American public.” “The bomb arrived at an FBI laboratory in Quantico about a week ago and is being examined by explosives technicians, law enforcement officials said. One said the explosive was made from a chemical compound that was “built to get around U.S. security and had the potential to do that.” Average citizens can only hope that the CIA is not being used to extend Barack Obama’s “I-killed-Osama” stage to the November 6 presidential election. With alleged top terrorists flying the friendly skies while they’re out living it up on the lam, one has to ponder if any of them were ever waiting in TSA lines while someone’s granny was being groped.
