"If Iran knows there is no red line, no deadline, what will it do?"

The Israeli Government is heading for a direct clash with the Obama Administration over Iran.
At today's press conference Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, spoke forcefully about the disconnect between Jerusalem and Washington over Tehran's nuclear ambition. Israel has been calling for the US and the international community to clearly give Iran red lines and deadlines to their march to a nuclear bomb. The US Administration has been talking about process. Israel has been asked to wait before it attempts to degrade Iran's nuclear capabilities. Today, Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his dissatisfaction by demanding to know "What for What? Wait until when?"

He repeated his earlier assessment that "Diplomacy and sanctions haven't worked! Fact - Iran gets closer and closer to a nuclear bomb. If Iran knows there is no red line, no deadline, what will it do?" The response from today's White House briefing was the old mantra that "The Administration is focused on maintaining pressure on Iran", but this pressure is achieving nothing against a determined, even obsessive, Iranian nuclear ambition. By a strange quirk of coincidence, Israeli TV featured details of the recent New Yorker article "The Silent Strike" which divulged information surrounding the Israeli air attack on the Syrian nuclear facility in 2007. Back then, the US Administration said there was not enough evidence that this was a nuclear facility despite overwhelming intelligence including documentation. Israel, knowing that America was wrong and time was limited, destroyed the Syrian facility during the night of September 5, 2007. Roll on five years and Israel and America are looking at yet another nuclear crisis through different prisms. At the end of the day the primary target of the enemy is Israel.

Barry Shaw——

My opinion was formed from living in Israel, witnessing the horror of terror, reading the misinformation and downright lies perpetrated by the Western media, seen the incompetence of Israeli leaders to project the facts. My website comes from a particularly personal perspective. The articles may be controversial and provocative. For whatever strikes Israel today will surely visit you tomorrow.
