Palestinian Authority is joining Hamas in its attacks against Israel

Terrorist Group Hamas Targets Israel Following Obama’s Reelection

Washington, DC – Yesterday sirens were heard in Tel Aviv, Israel, for the first time since the Gulf War. Over half of Israel’s population is currently under fire, as Hamas has become more aggressive and invigorated since Obama was reelected last week.

In fact, just two days ago, Hamas-fired rockets directly hit an apartment building, murdering a pregnant mother and two others and injuring more, including an 8-month-old baby. After this and more than 200 other rockets were fired into Israel from Gaza, Israel responded by first alerting civilians in Gaza of a planned targeted response, urging them to evacuate, and then by taking out the leader of Hamas. The media ignored the barrage of rockets launched by Hamas into Israel that came on the heels of Obama’s reelection and instead focused on Israel’s responsive attack a week later, when the Israeli Air Force took out the leader of Hamas. Prior to the air strike, Israel dropped pamphlets and made about 20,000 cell phone calls to residents in Gaza, warning them to evacuate the area. Now, the Palestinian Authority is joining Hamas in its attacks against Israel. Additionally, intelligence shows Iran is supplying Hamas with Iranian-made Fajr-5 long-range missiles. Terrorists continue to stockpile more than 10,000 rockets in Gaza. These long-range missiles and rockets have forced families into bomb shelters and bunkers. Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel said, “During these tumultuous times, it is important for President Obama to reiterate his unwavering support for our natural ally, Israel, and for Prime Minister Netanyahu. We must stand with Israel. Saying or doing nothing is a sign of weakness that will embolden the radical Islamic terrorists.” “I am in regular contact with Israelis in Israel who provide me with first-hand accounts. The Israeli people are strong and resolved. They want peace, and they are determined to defend themselves against terrorists. They have that right and we must support them,” concluded Staver.
