Gun Free Zones: When all the guns are taken from the honest people only the criminals and politicians will be armed

If a White House Petition is Good for Children Why Not Everyone?

I'm not sure how these White House Petitions are supposed to work or even how one originates one. There are gobs of information surrounding their operations in places online, created exclusively to help Americans (and others?) submit a request for our government to do a certain thing for the people. Of course those are for people who have all the time in the world to research their location; navigate around the 'Net to get there; bring potato chips and liquid refreshments; and hunker down in study mode for an undetermined amount of time and absorb.
Anything this White House creates and reduces to writing (reduces or increases?) seems to me to be a exercise in futility with a complex ending, unless it's for a bank bailout and a taxpayer money giveaway to cronies and followers. Getting to the point, a website titled 'weaselzippers.com', published an article online of a White House Petition with standard action level requirements beginning at receipt of 25,000 submissions. On the WeaselZipper's blog it was stated: on Monday:
"Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms," the petition says. "Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents. If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians."

Also Joe Miller at his Restoring Liberty website went into more detail on the petition's demand for Secret Service details replacement by Gun Free Zones. The premise of this petition was to state that the many suggestions being made in recent days that children's school and other similar venue areas not be protected by armed adults but by Gun Free Zones with this same option being adequate for high government officials and politicians. The reasoning being that if Gun Free Zones are being promoted by said officials and politicians like the president and Senators the need for guns by those types and their aides is negligible. But a funny thing happened at the White House, as funny things often do at that place. It seems that the 25,000 level plateau for enactment of actions by the White House suddenly needed an increase in the action level. Not just a slight adjustment upward but a whopping Four Hundred Percent Increase to the 100,000 level. That notice was made by the White House staff AFTER the submission required total of 25,000 was reached and was over 30 thousand submissions. But in typical Liberal Democrat fashion the goal for White House action has now been made more difficult - about 400 percent more difficult. There is no announcement as yet if those 30 thousand plus petitioners signatures will be accepted on the new 100,000 level petition or will they be considered null and void on the "new" petition. Any bets which way this lop-sided Administration will rule on that????? There is always one thing that you can rely on coming from this Obama Administration government and that is dishonesty and chicanery. Obama probably does not carry a weapon, but with hordes of Secret Service personnel at his disposal 24-7-365 why should he worry? The general population children's public schools should be so lucky. Senator Feinstein, (D-CA) who is fighting tooth and nail to create Gun Free Zone legislation in just about every square inch of the United States is proving to be a hypocrite by personally carrying a handgun for her own protection. There are probably hundreds more in our Congress who will exempt themselves from the no-gun ownership laws that will be passed. When all the guns are taken from the honest people only the criminals and politicians will be armed. How much easier it will be to turn our country over to the corrupt United Nations and see it return to days of slavery. So there won't be any mistake, all readers should know that I am a solid U.S. Constitution advocate and I believe that all citizens are entitled to bear arms as the Second Amendment clarifies without any doubt.
